Zelenskiy himself had previously said he would be prepared to hold the vote if Ukraine secured the assistance it needed - and if election were deemed necessary. Clearly everything the west has supplied to this point has been insufficient in his eyes.
The West now faces the same duplicitnous as Ukraine's Minsk Agreements. Through its aid the autocratic Zelensky regimeโreported on in the West well before the SMOโhas become an indefinite military dictatorship.
