According to the influential British publication, "this is one of Russia's biggest offensives since last spring", the aim of which is to drive the Ukrainian armed forces into a "cauldron", and whether or not Avdeevka is taken over by Russia will have a negative impact on Ukrainians.

If Ukraine needs to reinforce the Avdeevka front, it will have to transfer some of the forces fighting south of Orekhov. This will further reduce the chances of any breakthrough

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 During the assault on the Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Verbovo, the 247th Airborne Regiment of the Russian VDV (airborne) captured personnel from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

During this battle, the paratroopers eliminated over two dozen fighters, with several taken as prisoners, thereby saving their lives.

On the Zaporozhye front, dozens of Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoners have been taken in recent days. As seen in the footage, they are well-equipped.

Many of the prisoners claim they were conscripted, don't want to fight, and won't do so anymore, but during interrogations, it often becomes apparent that they are not conscripts at all.

🇮🇷🇵🇸🇮🇱 The Iranian Foreign Minister said that Hamas is ready to release the hostages if Israel stops airstrikes on the Gaza Strip - The Times of Israel.

According to Nasser Kanaani, Hamas representatives “stated that they were ready to take the necessary measures to release citizens and civilians held by resistance groups, but their point of view was that such measures required preparations that were impossible in the face of daily Zionist bombing of various parts of Gaza."

Hamas said it would exchange the captives, estimated by Israel at 200, for thousands of imprisoned Palestinians in one-off swap deals.

Kanaani also said that Hamas is ready to fight for a long time.

“We heard from resisters that they have no problem continuing to resist. They said that the resistance has the military potential to continue resistance in the field for a long time,” the Iranian diplomat said.
