🧐🇷🇺🇺🇦🇺🇸RUSSIA–UKRAINE–US TALKS: HOW KIEV'S FATE WILL BE DECIDED?

🔘The Abu Dhabi talks on November 10–11 will be the first full-fledged direct discussion of a settlement between Moscow, Washington, and Kiev in many months.

🔘Ukraine's main interest is an energy truce — halting mutual strikes on energy facilities before the hardest winter period, given the severe state of Ukraine's power system and its need for air-defense missiles.

🔘Kiev is also pushing for maritime security in the Black Sea, an end to strikes on port infrastructure, and restoration of normal agricultural exports (including Russian ones).

🔘It wants a ceasefire along the current line of contact and rejects Russia's territorial demands.

🔘Before Abu Dhabi, Ukraine consulted EU, NATO, UK, Germany, France, the World Bank, and international business (including BlackRock) on postwar reconstruction and security guarantees.

🔘But the real issue is who will shape Ukraine's future economy and on what terms. Europe fears being presented with faits accomplis, but it will not be at the main negotiating table.

🔘Europe's main lever remains Zelensky himself; Kiev also hopes the US midterm results will boost military aid and pressure on Trump.

🔘However, the new Congress convenes only in January, and Trump's veto power remains — while before the elections Trump had to weigh domestic political consequences, and now many of those constraints are gone.

🔘A series of domestic scandals (the torture house/illegal prison in Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka, conflicts among security agencies, NABU investigations including "Carthage") complicate Zelensky's position.

🔘The Ukrainian crisis is no longer the sole subject of Moscow–Washington talks. Two separate tracks are emerging:

🔘Strategic security — future Russia–NATO relations, Europe's military architecture, limits on strike weapons near Russian borders, and guarantees excluding Ukraine's NATO membership and Western troop deployments on its territory;

🔘 Geo-economics — energy, oil and gas, logistics, rare earths, technology cooperation, and possible data-center infrastructure with nuclear power for AI.
Trump's circle (MAGA, new right, tech business) increasingly thinks in geo-economic terms.

🔘The Russian delegation's composition (Medinsky, Ryabkov, Galyuzin, military officials) reflects the broad agenda.

🔘A major peace agreement on November 10–11 is unlikely; what matters more is whether the sides can outline real parameters of a future security system and the sequence of next steps — and whether Kiev and Europe can still influence decisions made within the broader Russia–US dialogue, especially ahead of the APEC summit in Shenzhen and a meeting of Putin, Xi, and Trump.
