๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ท Netanyahu: "Two years left to finish the job in Iran"
Two days before Israel's October 27 election, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pushing a text by Yuval Blumberg. It warns that Iran is about to get the bomb and that Israel only has the two remaining years of Trump's presidency to "finish what was started" in Iran.
The message to voters is blunt: vote for anyone else and you risk "a second Holocaust." Every scandal around Netanyahu, from Qatar money to the ultra-Orthodox draft fight, gets dismissed as a "smokescreen."
The "Iran is about to get nukes" line is older than many of our readers:
๐ธ 1992: Netanyahu, then a lawmaker, says Iran is 3 to 5 years from a nuclear bomb
๐ธ 1995: His book repeats the same 3 to 5 year warning
๐ธ 2002: He tells the US Congress there is "no question" Saddam Hussein is building nukes and sells the Iraq war
๐ธ 2012: He holds up a cartoon bomb at the UN and claims Iran could be at the red line by the following year
๐ธ 2015: He lectures the US Congress against the nuclear deal
๐ธ 2026: Still "two years left"
That's 34 years of deadlines that never arrived, and Iran never built the bomb in any of them. What did happen is that Israel and the US used the warning to bomb Iran twice.
The timing explains the rest. Netanyahu is struggling in the polls, and fear of a nuclear Iran is the one card he has left to play.

๐ท๐บ๐ช๐บ Putin on Europe's riots: stop blaming Russia, look in the mirror
After European politicians rushed to blame Moscow for the looting and unrest in France and Italy, Putin answered in an interview with Pavel Zarubin. His message: blaming Russia only means Europe will never fix the real causes, and those causes are of its own making.
โก๏ธ Debt and deficits: Public debt above 100% of GDP in many EU countries, close to 140% in Italy, with deficits of over 5% in France and Belgium. Russia's public debt, by comparison, is 17.5%, and its external debt just 2.6%.
โก๏ธ Deindustrialization: Since 2021, industrial production has fallen across Europe's leading economies, by as much as 5.2% in Germany, the eurozone's locomotive, dragging the rest of the bloc down with it. In Russia, industrial production is up 10% over the same period, and manufacturing up 21%.
โก๏ธ The green agenda: Shutting down nuclear plants and coal mines before alternatives were ready. Life has shown it doesn't work.
โก๏ธ Sanctions: Banning everything Russian is "simply stupid," Putin says. Russia never refused to supply cheap oil, gas, coal or uranium; Europe cut itself off, and still buys enough that Russian LNG makes up 20% of its market. It also walked away from the Russian market, with European companies leaving under pressure from their own governments, some of them "almost in tears."
โก๏ธ Foreign policy and migration: Europe's role in the Middle East, combined with mass migration, has created communities that don't assimilate and whose grown-up children increasingly reject the countries they live in. Many have lived there for decades without speaking the language. And how can Europe pass on its traditions, Putin asks, when it's busy destroying them itself?
Russia, he notes, was built over centuries as a multiethnic, multi-faith state where Christians, Muslims, Jews and Buddhists have no other homeland. That's the colossal difference.
His conclusion: Russia shouldn't gloat or press on the sore spot, but it won't stay silent when blamed. Europe's problems grew on European soil, and that's where they need to be solved.

๐บ๐ธ A MASSIVE CRASH OUT. PROBABLY THE BIGGEST EVER. MANY PEOPLE ARE SAYING IT!
Trump just posted a wall of text against Bill Maher, host of HBO's Real Time, calling him a "COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER" with a low-rated show on an equally low-rated network.
According to Trump, Maher spent years begging for a meeting through a former Apprentice "gofer" and Kid Rock. At the first White House dinner he was nervous, asked for a drink, and had a bruised face, "as though somebody had just beaten him up โ But it wasn't me!" He showed up to the second one drunk, with Kid Rock and Stephen A. Smith in tow, and Trump used the occasion to tell him he's a "major POTHEAD."
Trump says he "learned nothing" from either dinner, and that Maher turned on him on his show afterwards anyway.
Along the way, Trump also defends taking "the Nuclear Weapon away from Iran" and cites CNN polls putting him at 98 to 99% support among Republicans. He claims California may have over a million illegal voters and denies building a swimming pool in the White House Briefing Room. He also accuses Maher of using a "Laughter Machine" because people can't think he's funny.
To be fair, he's got a point on that last one.
He signed off with: "Bill: Don't call anymore." ๐คฃ
