❗️Iran warns US of immediate retaliation against threats to energy infrastructure

Iran’s acting Oil Minister Hamid Bovard warned that Tehran would retaliate swiftly against any US threat to Iranian energy facilities, saying Washington’s war against Iran had already affected the global energy sector.

"We will take precise and appropriate retaliatory measures at the right time to counter enemy threats," Bovard said, according to a report published by Dawn.

Bovard’s warning comes amid escalating US pressure on Iran’s oil industry and energy exports. He said Tehran would respond "immediately and appropriately" to threats against its energy infrastructure, while accusing Washington of launching its war in disregard of international norms.

Hamid Bovard was appointed acting oil minister earlier this month following the resignation of his predecessor, Mohsen Paknejad.
