Ukraine has exhausted its stock of missiles for the US-made Patriot air defense system, a source familiar with the situation told CNN on Thursday.

The report comes right after Kiev was hit by a massive Russian ballistic missile strike overnight. According to the source, almost none of the ballistic missiles in the latest strike were intercepted due to the shortage.
