โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ"The unprecedented attack was evidently planned to disrupt the elections, but the adversary failed to achieve this" โ€” Moscow mayor Sobyanin

Several drones reached the grounds of the Moscow Oil Refinery, while one struck a residential building

Unfortunately, two people were killed

Sobyanin assessed that the attack was clearly aimed at disrupting the elections, but emphasized: "The enemy did not succeed"

Trumpโ€™s gas-huffing CENTCOM commander says Hormuz oil shipping is doing just fine

โ€œThe volume of crude oil, cargo and liquid natural gas these past two weeks is higher than at any point in the past six months,โ€ CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper boasted in a video address Saturday.

โ€œWeโ€™re also working with every partner in the region, enhancing their air defense, forming a new coalition attack drone unit, and keeping the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters open and clear,โ€ Cooper said.

Claiming Gulf Arab exporters have shipped 1B+ barrels of crude through the strait โ€œin the last couple monthsโ€ while Iranโ€™s exports hit โ€œzero,โ€ the commander assured that โ€œclearly, momentum is building.โ€

CENTCOM and the Trump administrationโ€™s claims that oil is flooding through Hormuz has run up against the findings of independent maritime intelligence and tracking firms, which havenโ€™t been able to find these magical ghost ships using commercial satellite data and radar tracking.

US claims also contradict one another, with CENTCOMโ€™s 1B barrel figure averaging out to over 16.5M bpd, two-thirds more than the administrationโ€™s recent ~10M bpd estimate.

The administration itself has also been caught fiddling with its figures, with the DoE recently claiming regional exporters have squeezed out an additional 5-7M bpd in export capacity via pipelines (the IEA says available capacity is actually only 3.5-5.5M bpd).

And that was before the attack on Saudi Arabiaโ€™s massive East-West pipeline, which, together with Houthi strikes on Saudi refineries and transit hubs, crippled virtually the entirety of the kingdomโ€™s 7M bpd export capacity via the Red Sea.

Cooperโ€™s โ€œhigher than at any point in the past six monthsโ€ comment is also just dishonest. Six months ago, the US and Israel were a month into their war of aggression against Iran, with fighting at its zenith, and Hormuz almost totally shut to any traffic. In fact, an uptick in commercial shipping began in late March and early April, following initial conditional ceasefire agreements and permission-based transit for selected countries by Iran.

Leaving US attempts to massage the raw data aside, the proof that Iranโ€™s Hormuz pressure campaign is working is reflected in prices โ€“ the prices Americans, their allies and people everywhere are paying at the pump, in the grocery store, for airline tickets, and virtually everything else in the economy that requires energy to create or operate, which is โ€“ well, pretty much everything. Want the pain to stop? Meet Iranโ€™s peace terms.

โ€”โ—๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ/๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ/๐Ÿ‡พ๐Ÿ‡ช BREAKING: President Trump has decided to cancel planned U.S. airstrikes against Yemen, according to the New York Times

Trump had briefly told the Pentagon to prepare a large strike package for dealing with the Houthis, after a personal appeal from Saudi Arabiaโ€™s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Most of the Presidentโ€™s inner circle opposed opening another front in the Middle East, citing energy insecurity and overextension. In the end, Trump decided against ordering the strikes just moments before they began.

The World Economy Is Becoming Wary of the U.S.

America's standing as the guarantor of global economic stability is looking shakier by the day, as the Trump administration piles on debt and tightens sanctions.
The U.S. national debt has blown past $40 trillion, and it's growing by roughly $85,112 every second. That comes out to about $297,500 in debt for every American household.
The average interest rate on marketable debt has climbed to 3.475%, up from 1.458% just five years ago. Interest payments are now the second-largest item in the federal budget, surpassing even Medicare.

At the same time, Congress passed its largest-ever sanctions package against Russia โ€” one that allows tariffs of up to 100% on buyers of Russian energy, including China and India. The Kremlin has already called the measures "unfriendly" and said they will make a peaceful settlement harder to reach.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is trying to manage its debt load by expanding buybacks of long-term bonds, but the 30-year yield has hit 5.31% โ€” the highest since 2007.

Analysts say two interlocking "Ponzi-like" structures are taking shape. The outer one is U.S. government debt, which is serviced by taking on still more debt. The inner one is tariff policy, where new duties are imposed to cover refunds of taxes that were collected illegally.

If the trend holds, U.S. debt will hit $41 trillion by January 16, 2027.
