The US is selling thousands of Patriot interceptor missiles worth $17 billion to UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain โ€” despite a US stockpile depleted by the Iran war. The US said last week it was selling $4 billion of interceptors to Qatar. All this takes years to make.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ The Immortal Regiment and Victory Day celebration in the capital of Siberia Novosibirsk

The Immortal Regiment is a Victory Day tradition - the descendants of veterans of the Great Patriotic War join the procession with the photos of their family members who contributed to the war effort. As the time passes the fewer and fewer veterans are alive but the procession is meant to show their lives continue in their children and grandchildren, and they are never forgotten.

During the Great Patriotic War, Novosibirsk played a crucial role as a major industrial and logistical hub deep in the Soviet rear. The city became one of the key destinations for evacuated factories, equipment, and workers from the western USSR. It rapidly transformed into a powerhouse of wartime production - especially for tanks, ammunition, aircraft components, and medical supplies. Novosibirsk also hosted military hospitals and research institutions, while its residents, including thousands of women and teenagers, worked tirelessly to support the front. In recognition of its immense contribution, Novosibirsk was awarded the honorary title of "City of Labor Valor" - a testament to its vital role in securing victory.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’€ GRAPHIC: Israeli settlers force family to exhume father from fresh grave

A Palestinian family in the occupied West Bank was forced to dig up their 80โ€‘yearโ€‘old father's body hours after burial, after settlers claimed the cemetery land belonged to their settlement.

๐Ÿ”ด Hussein Assasa died of natural causes on Friday, buried that evening in Assasa village near Jenin.

๐Ÿ”ด Settlers arrived, ordered the grave opened, and threatened to use a bulldozer if the family didn't comply.

๐Ÿ”ด The family had obtained all necessary burial permits from the Israeli military, which says it did not order the reburial. Soldiers confiscated digging tools but remained on site.

๐Ÿ”ด The UN Human Rights Office called it an "appalling incident."

The settlement โ€“ Sarnur โ€“ was evacuated in 2005 but reโ€‘approved by Netanyahu's government a year ago. Construction has advanced rapidly.

Permits, paperwork, legal burial โ€“ none of it mattered. The land is taken. Even the dead are not safe.
