Qalibaf's account of the moments of confronting the enemy's minesweeper during the Islamabad negotiations
🔖 Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament, in a televised interview with the people:
📌 Dear people of Iran, the Strait of Hormuz is under the control of the Islamic Republic.
📌 We firmly confronted America's attempt to sweep mines, consider it a violation of the ceasefire, and advanced to the point of engagement, but the enemy retreated.
📌 In Islamabad, I told the American delegation that if their minesweeper advanced even a fraction from its position, we would definitely fire at it. They requested 15 minutes to order a retreat, and they did.
📌 If there is any traffic in the strait today, the control of the strait is in our hands.
📌 The Americans have announced a blockade for a few days now; this is a clumsy and ignorant decision. It is impossible for others to pass through the Strait of Hormuz while we cannot.
📌 If America does not abandon the blockade, traffic in the Strait of Hormuz will certainly be restricted.
👇 The full version of this interview, which addresses various dimensions of the country's situation, will be broadcast soon on Khabar Network.

• "A renewed breach of commitments and the exploitation of this significant Iranian leniency for propaganda purposes led to the strait being closed again."
• "History has shown that while we are a people of peace, we also possess the ability to return tyrants to their natural size."

—❗️🇺🇸/🇮🇷 NEW: According to U.S. intelligence and military estimates, Iran retains about 60% of its missile launchers, and could ‘reclaim’ 70% of its prewar missile arsenal
At the time of the ceasefire, Iran had access to about half its missile launchers, but ~100 systems were dug out from caves and bunkers in the days immediately following the ceasefire, bringing that number back to 60%. – New York Times

Whispers in Tehran and Pakistani circles that negotiations with the U.S. have practically collapsed.
Iran not moving an inch on its red lines regarding uranium enrichment, fate of the stockpile, and Strait of Hormuz.
At the moment there are intense last minute efforts to revive the diplomatic path. Needs to happen soon.

🇮🇹 Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has called for resuming Russian gas imports to avoid what he warns could be an "energy lockdown."
"Rather than closing factories, schools and hospitals, let's go back to buying gas and oil from around the world, Russia included. We are not at war with Russia," Salvini said at a Patriots for Europe rally in Milan today.
ℹ️ The call comes as Europe's dependence on Russian LNG deepens. In Q1 2026, the EU took 97% of available cargoes from Russia's Yamal LNG project, up 17% year-on-year to 5 million tonnes, costing EU member states an estimated €2.88 billion, according to the Financial Times citing data from Kpler and environmental group Urgewald.

🇮🇷Qalbiaf :

Trump is too dumb to understand that EVEN IF Iran was inclined to make a deal on his terms (which it very much isn’t), these type of threats and posts ordering Iran to surrender will achieve the opposite of what he wants.
Do you really think Iran will now agree to anything he has proposed? That would be a total humiliation ritual and no serious diplomat would consider it any longer, even if it was hypothetically being considered.
In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if Iran considers these threats so insulting and a sign of bad intentions, that negotiations don’t even proceed.

—❗️🇺🇸/🇮🇷 President Trump on Truth Social:
‘Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz - A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom.
That wasn't nice, was it?
My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations.
Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They're helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be "the tough guy!"
We're offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don't, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They'll come down fast, they'll come down easy and, if they don't take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT'S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!
