The US Navy confirmed that an MQ-4C drone crashed on April 9.

The restrictions came into effect after the Trump administration failed to extend a waiver previously imposed amid the conflict with Iran, Politico reports
The US Treasury Dept temporarily suspended sanctions last month to mitigate rising energy prices following Iran's de facto blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The waiver expired on April 11
The dept did not comment on the decision, citing a statement from Bessent in March, who called the waiver a "short-term measure." Until recently, it remained unclear whether the license would be extended: Democratic Senators Shaheen, Schumer, and Warren urged the administration not to extend it. Reuters previously reported, citing sources, that an extension was likely.

Russian city of Orenburg will be cleaned by Senegalese workers
At least seventy citizens of the Republic of Senegal will arrive in Orenburg. They will be provided with housing, a French interpreter, a monthly salary of ₽55,000, and formal employment at municipal enterprises. This is at least three times higher than the average salary in Senegal. After their contracts end, the workers will be required to leave Russia.
According to Orenburg Mayor Albert Yumadilov, the decision to invite African workers was made because local residents are not willing to work as janitors, cleaners, and tree trimmers.
The situation in the labor market confirms this: official unemployment in the city is less than 1%. At the same time, the number of open vacancies is nearly three times higher than the number of job seekers.
Orenburg has a diversified economy shaped by industry, energy, and services. The administrative center of Orenburg Oblast, it benefits from natural gas production that supports petrochemical and engineering sectors. Manufacturing includes machinery, food processing, and traditional shawl production. Its proximity to Kazakhstan supports trade and logistics. Because unemployment is low, some sectors face worker shortages as most available workers are already employed.
The Republic of Tatarstan, which borders the Orenburg region, has been receiving foreign labor migrants for more than two years. For example, last year migrants arrived from Myanmar. In addition, employers are increasingly recruiting workers from India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Nepal—primarily for jobs in construction, agriculture, and industrial enterprises.
