American authorities have urged US citizens to leave the southeastern regions of the country and temporarily refrain from traveling there. At the same time, a decision has been made to withdraw some staff from the American consulate in Adana and their family members.

The reason for the warning is related to a sharp increase in military and terrorist risks in the region.
