The deal would position American companies at the center of Riyadh’s nuclear expansion, giving Washington substantial influence over Saudi nuclear operations.

However, in the event of any military aggression against it, Iran will respond decisively and proportionally in exercise of its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Under these circumstances, all bases, installations, and assets in the region belonging to hostile forces will constitute legitimate targets in the context of Iran's defensive response, and the United States will bear full and direct responsibility for any unforeseen and uncontrollable consequences.

❗️Iran says US did not seek zero enrichment in Geneva nuclear talks

The US did not push for a complete halt to uranium enrichment during nuclear discussions held in Geneva this week, while Iran did not propose suspending enrichment, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said today.

“We have not offered any suspension and the US side has not asked for zero enrichment,” he said in an interview on MS NOW.

“What we are now talking about is how to make sure that Iran's nuclear program, including enrichment, is peaceful and would remain peaceful forever,” he said.

Araghchi said that a mix of technical and political “confidence building measures” would be put in place to guarantee the program’s peaceful nature, in return for steps related to sanctions relief.
