🇷🇺☢️🔋Five G7 countries have agreed to reduce the dependence of the nuclear fuel market on Russian supplies

Japan, Britain, Canada, the USA and France have also identified potential areas of cooperation in the field of nuclear energy

Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and France have reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of nuclear fuel and maintaining stable supply chains in order to reduce the dependence of the world market on Russia as a supplier of such resources. This is stated in a statement issued on Monday by the Japanese Nuclear Industry Forum following a meeting of representatives of five countries in Sapporo, where a meeting of ministers on climate, energy and environment of the Group of Seven (G7) was held.

"Canada, France, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States have identified potential areas of cooperation in the field of nuclear fuel in order to maintain its stable supply for existing reactors, ensure the development and introduction of fuel for advanced reactors in the future, as well as to reduce dependence on Russian supply chains," the document says.

The parties note that these efforts will be aimed at using the unique resources and capabilities possessed by the civil nuclear industries of each country in order to create a global market for commercial nuclear fuel.

"This strategic cooperation is aimed at increasing the depth and sustainability of our nuclear fuel supply chains, as well as supporting broader geostrategic goals to further reduce dependence on Russia in the nuclear fuel supply chain in the long term, as well as expanding the number of available commercial alternatives for the supply of civilian nuclear technologies to third countries," the statement said.

Hi Everyone,

We thought we might bring you this interesting article from seven years ago on corruption in Ukraine, especially (though not limited to) post-Maidan Ukraine. As you can see it is written by the Atlantic Council and very firm friend of the Kiev regime. It documents how corruption stifled business in Ukraine both before Maidan (throughout the presidencies of Yushchenko and Yanukovich) and how it continued after the so-called Revolution of Dignity. An interesting - if hair raising - article on what that corruption actually looks like.

🇺🇸The US Congress passed a resolution condemning Russia because of the incident with an American drone over the Black Sea. The authorship of the document belongs to Republican Brandon Williams and Democrat Jim Costa.

The conclusion was adopted unanimously with the support of 410 congressmen who voted. The text of the resolution condemns the “reckless actions” attributed to the Russian military and confirms that Washington will not abandon the use of its own drones in the international airspace of the Black Sea. The document is not binding.

🇧🇷🇷🇺🇨🇳🇺🇸🇺🇦Media: Brazil responds to US criticism of its position on Ukraine

G1: The Brazilian Foreign Ministry objected to the United States reproaching the country for repeating Russia's position on Ukraine

Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira did not agree with the criticism of the United States, which reproached the country's leadership for repeating the position of Russia and China on the situation in Ukraine, the G1 news portal reported.

Earlier, White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said that "Brazil repeats Russian and Chinese propaganda without even looking at the facts" regarding the settlement in Ukraine.

"No, I don't agree. That's not so. I do not know why he came to this conclusion. But I do not agree," the media quoted the Foreign Minister as saying.

🇺🇸🇹🇼🇨🇳Military sources say around 200 U.S. advisers currently in Taiwan

Taipei, April 17 (CNA) Around 200 U.S. military advisers are currently stationed at bases across Taiwan, sources within the armed forces said Monday.

According to the sources, the U.S. advisers have been primarily assigned to boot camps and reserve brigades to observe Taiwan's protocols and provide practical consultations on training methods.

The inputs from the U.S. advisers will be later used to help Taiwan formulate better training when mandatory military service is extended to one year in 2024, the sources added.

Asked to comment, the Army Command Headquarters declined to provide any details on U.S. troop presence, stating only that any affairs involving exchanges between Taiwan and a foreign military follow regulations.

Local media began reporting sightings of U.S. advisers as early as March 27 at a base in Kaohsiung's Gangshan District.

Speaking with CNA, Chieh Chung (揭仲), an associate research fellow with the National Policy Foundation in Taipei, said that if the U.S. advisers could provide the nation with practical improvements, Taiwan's military would make great strides.

Chieh explained that the U.S. military is very familiar with strategic shooting and battlefield medical training, both of which could benefit conscripts.

Meanwhile, Su Tzu-yun (蘇紫雲), a research fellow at the Taiwan government-funded Institute for National Defense and Security Research, said the deployment of advisers, mainly from the U.S. Army, was part of Washington's efforts to fulfill the ambitions of the U.S. National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023, which seeks to deepen military exchanges with Taiwan and strengthen Taiwan's defense capabilities.

🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺A top Ukrainian official said Monday that Ukraine will launch its counteroffensive against Russian troops when it’s ready, adding that it’s only a matter of time before the country achieves the necessary level of military preparedness to do so.

Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, told The Associated Press in an interview in Kiev that Ukraine’s allies are helping the government to achieve the level of technical equipment necessary to launch the attack, delivering heavy armored vehicles and ammunition.

But he also expressed frustration that sometimes officials from allied countries “promise one thing and do a completely different one.” He didn’t elaborate.

“If we aren’t ready, then nobody will start unprepared,” he said.

Speaking about a major U.S. intelligence leak, Danilov echoed other Ukrainian leaders who say they don’t see it as gravely damaging future offensives, stressing that Ukraine doesn’t share highly sensitive information with anyone.

🇵🇱Mobilization check in Poland will affect 230 000 people

Polish Defense Ministry: the mobilization check that has begun will affect 230 thousand people

The mobilization check has begun in Poland, it will affect 230 thousand people, according to the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic.

There is no compulsory military service in Poland, but the military from time to time clarifies mobilization capabilities.

"Military qualification (mobilization check – ed.) has begun, which will cover about 230 thousand people," the message says.

It is specified that the check will affect men born in 2004, as well as men born in 1999-2003, who have not yet been assigned a category of fitness for military service.

In addition to them, persons who were temporarily unfit for service by medical commissions last year and two years ago will be re-examined.

The military "qualification" in Poland replaced the draft in 2009. Then compulsory military service was suspended in connection with the transition to a professional army. Now the purpose of such subpoenas is to collect information about the state of physical and mental health of citizens for their fitness for military service.

The Pentagon announced the arrival of 200 US troops in Taiwan. This process started with 20-30 people, and the number of American soldiers is constantly increasing. It is officially stated that the purpose of sending is the training of Taiwanese troops.

The Americans are preparing the islanders for guerrilla warfare against China, and the most important part is the systematic increase in outgoing American personnel, laying the foundation for the deployment of larger American troops in Taiwan in the event of war.

Against this background, Taiwan announced the purchase of 400 Harpoon anti-ship missiles, which will be used, including from coastal installations.

There is a strange relationship between Israel, Cyprus, Greece and the current coup in Sudan. According to a report by Lighthouse reports and Inside Story, an 8-seat Cessna jet that flew from Athens and landed in the Sudanese capital a year ago belonged to the (in)famous ex-mossad agent Tal Dillian. Since leaving the Israeli army's elite intelligence division of Unit 81, which he commanded, Dilian has specialized in surveillance tools. Based in Cyprus, he first created an innovative phone surveillance company called Circles, which he sold in 2014. He also worked with a leader of the Israeli community in Cyprus, Abraham Shahak Avni, owner of Pegasus Flight Centre.
Dillian and Avni agreed to build an information alliance that not only fully met, but exceeded government intelligence standards. In preparation for this, Dilian bought Cytrox, a startup from Hungary and North Macedonia, which developed phone hacking software called Predator. He brokered a marketing deal with French spy company Nexa and invested in other companies in the cyber intelligence sector. By combining the capabilities of different companies under one roof, Dilian hoped to compete with the biggest players in the mercenary spyware market - particularly the Israeli group NSO, now known for its Pegasus hacker software. The new alliance was to be called Intellexa.
Now, where does Sudan add up to this? Well, the passengers of the Cessna jet met with high-ranking officials of the Sudanese army and particularly Hemedti, leader of the RSF, second in power and richest man in Sudan. According to three independent sources cited by the Israeli newspaper, the cargo was advanced surveillance technology, manufactured in the European Union, with the potential to upset the balance of power in Sudan thanks to its ability to turn smartphones into audiovisual informants for their owners. When news of its arrival reached Hemedti's opponents, the equipment was considered so dangerous that an RSF commander who spoke on condition of anonymity said it was smuggled from Khartoum to the militia stronghold in Darfur to prevent its seizure by the military.
This particular surveillance software is known as "Predator". The very same software caused chaos in the Greek political scene after two cellphones were found to be infected by it: the first belonged to the journalist Thanasis Koukakis and the latter to Nikos Androulakis, the leader of PASOK, the Greek social democratic party. However, in the case of Sudan the danger was even greater: the country was unstable and authority was shared between the government and the RSF, something that both parties didn't like but had to tolerate. The predator software would shift the balance towards the RSF, while threatening to cut the very thin rope that held the country from falling into the pit of civil war.
The original report by the forementioned journalists was published 5 months and as we can see, a few days ago it came into being.

When performing a combat mission, the reconnaissance and assault group of the special forces "Akhmat" under the command of "Maly" was surrounded in the area of Belogorovka. For 120 hours, the fighters repelled enemy attacks and destroyed a large number of the enemy. The group managed to break out of the tight shackles of the enemy. The task assigned to the group was completed one hundred percent!

For the successful completion of the combat mission, all the fighters of the reconnaissance and assault group received awards. The well–deserved award to "Maly" – the Order of special forces "Akhmat" - was presented personally with great joy. This is the highest award of our glorious unit.

I express my gratitude to the gunners of the 2nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for their excellent work! Worked out clearly! Our own are alive, the enemy is destroyed!
