BREAKING | Wall Street Journal: More US Destroyers to go to eastern Mediterranean to help Israel
US officials said additional ships equipped to intercept ballistic missiles will be deployed to the eastern Mediterranean Sea in the coming days and weeks, as part of efforts to support Israel.
According to the officials, the USS Thomas Hudner, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, has already arrived in the eastern Mediterranean since relocating there late last week, joining two other destroyers.

The Economist believes that Israel’s main concern now is to maintain momentum: if it can maintain the appearance of success, it could push President Donald Trump to join the war. But if the pace of destruction at nuclear sites slows and the death toll rises, Trump could try to end the war before Israel achieves its goals.

Three days ago, Tucker Carlson accused the U.S. president of actively participating in strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Today, the journalist also released an interview with Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon, in which they discussed the possible collapse of the MAGA movement due to a war with the Islamic Republic.
In response, Trump called Tucker “kooky” and said someone should explain to the journalist that “America First” also means actively countering Iran to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons.
