❗️Iranian rockets hit Naqab, Haifa, Bnei Brak, Tel Aviv & Eilat

Iran launched rockets on 16 June, 2025, targeting Zionist military sites from Naqab in the south to northern areas. The barrage hit Haifa’s power plant, causing outages; a building collapsed in Bnei Brak; a 22‑story tower was struck in Tel Aviv; and two impacts were reported in Eilat.

Preliminary casualty figures stand at two settlers killed and 90 wounded.

Iran has told mediators Qatar and Oman that it is not open to negotiating a ceasefire while it is under Israeli attack, an official briefed on the communications told Reuters on Sunday, as the two foes launched fresh attacks and raised fears of a wider conflict.

"The Iranians informed Qatari and Omani mediators that they will only pursue serious negotiations once Iran has completed its response to the Israeli pre-emptive strikes," said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the conflict.

Iran made "clear that it will not negotiate while under attack," the official said.

Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran on Friday morning that wiped out the top echelon of Iran's military command and damaged its nuclear sites, and says the campaign will continue to escalate in coming days.

BREAKING | Wall Street Journal: More US Destroyers to go to eastern Mediterranean to help Israel

US officials said additional ships equipped to intercept ballistic missiles will be deployed to the eastern Mediterranean Sea in the coming days and weeks, as part of efforts to support Israel.

According to the officials, the USS Thomas Hudner, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, has already arrived in the eastern Mediterranean since relocating there late last week, joining two other destroyers.

An alleged US source told Israeli broadcaster i24 that final preparations are underway for the US to enter the war between Iran and Israel.

"President Trump has given the green light to enter the war against Iran," i24 said, citing a US official.
