🍌 US mulls major travel ban: Who’s going to be affected?

The Trump administration is reportedly weighing a major expansion of travel restrictions, potentially affecting citizens from 43 countries, according to The New York Times.

Here’s the full lineup:

🤔RED LIST (11 Countries – total entry ban):

Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.

🤔ORANGE LIST (10 Countries – partial restrictions):

Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan.

🤔YELLOW LIST (22 Countries – will be given 60 days to fix security issues like data sharing, passport controls, or citizenship sales or face stricter measures):

Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Congo (Republic of the Congo), the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Sao Tome and Principe, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe.

The proposal was drafted several weeks ago and sent to the White House, where adjustments could be made. The lists of countries are now under consideration by US embassies, regional bureaus at the State Department, security specialists and intelligence agencies.
