According to the publication, Starmer "told Zelensky the harsh truth" about what Trump expected to hear during their meeting in the White House.

As The Telegraph notes, British diplomats viewed the post as an “apology without the word ‘sorry’”, but believe that this is not enough to bring Trump back to the negotiating table.

The publication emphasizes that there is “great disappointment” in the British government over how Zelensky handled the visit, which was supposed to be key to concluding a mineral deal.
