"15 февраля по инициативе американской стороны состоялся телефонный разговор Министра иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Лаврова с Государственным секретарем США М.Рубио.

В развитие телефонного разговора президентов России и США 12 февраля главы внешнеполитических ведомств условились о поддержании канала коммуникации для решения накопившихся проблем в российско-американских отношениях в интересах снятия унаследованных от прежней администрации односторонних барьеров на пути взаимовыгодного торгово-экономического и инвестиционного сотрудничества.

Обозначен обоюдный настрой на взаимодействие по актуальной международной тематике, в том числе урегулированию вокруг Украины, ситуации вокруг Палестины и в целом на Ближнем Востоке и на других региональных направлениях.

Состоялся обмен мнениями о путях скорейшего прекращения начатой администрацией Б.Обамы в 2016 году линии на максимальное ужесточение условий функционирования российских дипломатических миссий в США, что, разумеется, повлекло за собой ответные меры. Условлено в самое ближайшее время организовать встречу экспертов для согласования конкретных шагов по взаимному снятию препон для работы загранпредставительств России и США.

С.В.Лавров и М.Рубио подтвердили готовность совместно работать над восстановлением взаимоуважительного межгосударственного диалога в русле заданной президентами тональности. Договорились о регулярных контактах, в том числе для подготовки российско-американской встречи на высшем уровне".
