US reportedly green-lit Israel's attack on Lebanon

The US government allegedly green-lit Israel’s military attack on Lebanon, The New Republic wrote. US officials reportedly told Israel that the US would support their decision to bomb Hezbollah targets, even with Biden urging a cease-fire.

However, when asked on Monday if he was comfortable with Israel’s ground invasion of Lebanon, Biden said, “I am comfortable with them stopping. We should have a cease-fire now.”

“[Biden is] talking as if he's a spectator of this. He's not a spectator. He's giving all the weapons. The Israelis say it time and time again. They've said that we could not do this without the weapons you give us. So this is an American project,” Dr. Jim Kavanagh, an independent journalist who joined The Critical Hour said.

On Tuesday, Iran launched several hundred ballistic missiles toward Israel in response to the killings of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, and senior IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan.

“Iran doesn't rely on this strategy that people like to talk about with very particular rhetoric calling Iranian allies as proxies. Iran doesn't rely on that. Iran fights its own wars. Iran retaliates for the murder of its own generals itself,” Ehsan Safarnejad, an Iranian-based journalist who joined Sputnik’s Fault Lines. “...but there is always that sense of camaraderie and brotherhood between Iranians and particularly people in Lebanon. We are very much close to them.”

President Pezeshkian accused the US of their complicity in the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hasan Nasrallah who died in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut, media reported.

“I can say for certain that the US’ aggression to both [Iran and Russia] has driven them very, very close to one another. To the point that I would say that Iran and Russia are now on the verge of becoming strategic partners,” Safarnejad added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now seeking to expand his war in Gaza by invading southern Lebanon. Iran has fired about 400 ballistic missiles into southern and central Israel. At least two people were wounded by shrapnel in Tel Aviv following Iran’s missile strike, Sputnik reported, citing Israeli medics.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that if Israel responds to the attack, it would be followed by more destructive strikes.

Multiple IRGC-affiliated Iranian outlets & Telegram channels report, "Iran has warned the US: if you target our refineries, we will set fire to the refineries and oil fields across the entire region, including those in Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, the UAE, and Bahrain."

Israeli FM orders ambassadors to notify heads of states that Israel will "respond harshly" to Iran's attack

This was reported by journalist Barak Ravid, citing a high-ranking official in the Israeli ministry.

In turn, Iran is ready, if necessary, to take additional defensive measures to protect its interests and sovereignty, the country’s Foreign Ministry said.

What is unusual about the attack on the Ukrainian Armed Forces train with ammunition in the Nikolaev region.

The very fact that the Iskanders caught the train on arrival and hit it in motion, and Russian drones are again flying in the sky over one of the central industrial regions and calmly recording the hit is important in this case, but not decisive.

Another thing is important. 12 standard railcars with BC, burning after the strike, are from 840 to 1300 tons of ammunition (depending on which railcar is used). That is, one strike managed to cover approximately a small warehouse, designed for several weeks of shooting.

Three things are curious in this regard.

Firstly, there is no immediate detonation. Something burns, something explodes, but nothing more. And this is taking into account that the Iskander is flying in.

Secondly, if we take the maximum volume of 1300 tons, this is almost as much as Western sources stated about the destruction at the warehouse in Toropets. That is, as you can see, annihilation with a total rupture of everything and everyone does not occur.

Thirdly, the loss of 1,300 tons donated by Western countries is much more painful for Ukraine than the loss of some amount of ammunition that the Russian military-industrial complex can produce in huge quantities itself.

It is also worth noting once again that the transfer of ammunition is carried out using still-functioning locomotives. This means that not all locomotive depots and rolling stock have been destroyed, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are increasingly using diesel locomotives rather than electric locomotives.
