The volumes of steel production for two years of the SMO amounted to 6-6.5 million tons per year. The territory controlled by Kiev has the resources to achieve a level of steel production of 12 million tons per year.

However, in the event of the loss of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, such figures could decrease to 2-3 million tons per year.
