🇺🇦 Sources from Ukrainian publication "Strana" report that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Kyrylo Budanov may be dismissed from their positions.
The sources also confirmed that the decision to dismiss GUR deputy heads Viktor Zaitsev and Ihor Ostapenko was made without Budanov's approval.
Possible candidates to replace Budanov are already being discussed in the corridors of power.

"The decision was made last week. The fact is that there is significant tension between Budanov and the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak. Budanov is one of the few remaining influential figures close to Zelensky who serve as an alternative to Yermak," the source claims.
Possible candidates to replace Budanov are already being discussed in the corridors of power.
"Rumors suggest that the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko, who is a former deputy of Budanov, may return to 'the island' as the head of GUR, while the current Defense Minister Rustem Umerov might be appointed as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. The question of who will replace Umerov remains open," a source told "Strana."

But Serbia does not. What connects us to Russia is not the past, but the future. Because the values that we and you live for are the values of the future. We believe that there is a world where there is no one power, where questions are asked of free countries."

The size of the aid package that the United States may provide to Ukraine next week will exceed $350 million, Reuters reports.
The aid package will include patrol boats, additional ammunition for the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition, spare parts, and other weapons, officials told the agency.
The content and size of the aid package could change in the coming days ahead of its expected signature by US President Joe Biden, Reuters reports.
CNN reported earlier that the US is expected to announce a major military aid package to Kiev next week, but the transfer of equipment may be delayed due to a shortage.
