Короткая сводка с фронта 29 августа 2024 года
На Покровском участке Донецкого направления подразделения группировки войск «Центр» активными действиями освободили населённый пункт Николаевка и продолжают продвижение в глубину обороны противника, сообщает МО РФ.
Также расширили зону контроля в районе н.п. Николаевка - был взят опорный пункт ВСУ северо-западнее неë. Отдельные группы наших бойцов работают в Мирнограде. Со стороны противника есть сообщения, что наши разведывательно- диверсионные группы заходили в м-р Западный. В городе объявлена тотальная эвакуация.
В н.п. Новогродовка идëт зачистка западных и северных окраин от врага. В районе северной части населëнного пункта была взята шахта №1 «Новогродовская» с расположенным рядом терриконом.
Продвинулись наши бойцы и в н.п. Михайловка, большая часть которого уже под нашим контролем.
В н.п. Селидово подразделения нашей армии продвигаются теперь не только с востока, но и вошли в город с севера в районе стадиона. Расположенная на северо-востоке Селидово шахта им. Коротченко перешла под контроль ВС РФ. На еë терриконах развевается флаг России. Таким образом, все господствующие высоты в районе Селидово теперь за нашими.
Не останавливается продвижение на юг по направлению к Курахово: в районе н.п. Мемрик расширен контроль к н.п. Украинск. Отдельные наши штурмовые отряды работают в расположенном рядом с ним н.п. Лесовка.
По мере продвижения подразделений ВС РФ и стягивания горловины выступа между Карловкой и Красногоровкой, который еще занят противником, положение последнего там ухудшается. Появились сообщения, что начали отвод части подразделений ВСУ из района н.п. Невельское.

Those who argue to stop support for Ukraine do not argue for peace. They argue for appeasement and subjugation of Ukraine. So today I would like to address all those who, after 1,000 days of death and destruction, are asking sincerely, isn't it time for talks? It is first and foremost up to our Ukrainian friends to answer this question. We and them want the war to stop as soon as possible. But while many outside Europe are preoccupied only with the end of fighting, my position is that peace is not simply the absence of war. Peace is a settlement that makes war impossible and unnecessary. And therefore, we must put Ukraine in the condition of negotiating such peace. And this is why the integration of Ukraine and our European Union is for us at the heart of every peace effort.

This was reported by The Times with reference to the Ukrainian military wounded near Kursk.
For example, one of the Ukrainian militant with the call sign 'Prophet' said that his unit had lost five people as a result of an artillery attack near Sudzha: two dead and three missing. The Ukrainian fighters were unable to retaliate because of the shortage of shells.
Another evacuee told the publication that only five of the 15 people in his unit survived.

During one of the recent attacks, the commander of the Arbat assault group, with the call sign Pika, managed to get his group moving in order to cut off the AFU forces from each other. The Ukrainian military tried to escape, but not all of them succeeded.
