โ—๏ธ"I could have been shot by my own people": An AFU prisoner of war recounts his service in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.

Aleksandr Makiyvsky was a police officer. He was offered a place in an assault brigade, but he refused and was dismissed. His free life did not last long: after three months he ran out of money. At the same time, he began to receive summonses from the military recruitment centre and signed a contract.

According to Alexander, he and his comrades were assured that they would go to the second line of defence in the Donetsk region, where prepared AFU units would be waiting for them. Instead, they were taken in pickup trucks to "plug holes" in the front line.

"They were told to dig in. The knives are blunt, unrealistically simple. No water, no food - I thought I was going to die," said one POW.

Makiyevsky also recalled that when one of the groups wanted to leave, the commanders threatened the soldiers over the radio that they would fire cluster bombs at them and write it all off as hostilities. He himself wanted to leave immediately; the fourth day of service already seemed like hell, he said.

Thereโ€™s no country in the world that claims to be the โ€˜nation stateโ€™ of a religious group.

Imagine the USA government says that being Christian is a nationality and the USA is its โ€˜nation state.โ€™

That would be an identity theft for those who practice Christianity. Because being โ€˜Americanโ€™ is a nationality and being Christian is a religion.

Thatโ€™s what Zionists are doing to the Jewish people.

Zionists evil intent to transform GDs chosen people to some earthly nationality has never stopped.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆRussian troops have already understood the tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and have begun to counter them. Therefore, the Ukrainian offensive in the Russian region has slowed down, writes the British magazine The Economist.

The publication tells about the beginning of the operation and its goals.

According to the magazine, Ukrainian statements about threats of Russian invasion of Sumy Oblast were only an information cover to justify the concentration of troops at the borders of Kursk Oblast.

The publication also writes that the โ€œmaneuverable attackโ€ used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was similar to the tactics used by the Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, a source in the General Staff of Ukraine reported.

"For the first five days it was terribly effective," but with the element of surprise gone, Ukrainian gains have slowed. Ukrainian soldiers fighting in the Kursk region say they are already beginning to see a different level of resistance. Casualties are mounting. The Russians have saturated the front with more trained units, including marines and special forces.

"They figured out how to fight, and they understand our tactics. But that doesn't mean we don't understand their tactics," said Private Sergei of the 80th Assault Brigade.

"President Zelensky still insists on maximum advancement (into Russian territory - Ed. ), says a source in the General Staff. But Syrsky is cautious, concentrating on expanding the flanks along the border to create more reliable defensible lines," the article says.

In recent days, the Ukrainian contingent, which numbers 10,000 to 20,000 soldiers, "appears to be focused on establishing control on the southern bank of the Seim River northwest of Sudzha."

Initially, the goal of the attack on the Kursk region was to divert troops from Donbass and create a bargaining chip for future negotiations. And at the same time, to remove talk of freezing the conflict.

Russia wants to use the Ukrainian attack to exhaust Kyivโ€™s resources, intensifying attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, the publication believes.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆUkraine is โ€œstrugglingโ€ to find a balance between seizing territory in the Kursk region and losing it in the Donbass, writes the British newspaper The Guardian.

On Friday, Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were advancing near Kursk โ€œup to two miles a dayโ€ (3.21 km), but the Russians were moving three miles (4.8 km) near Pokrovsk, the publication writes.

Russia had been expected to move significant forces from the east to defend Kursk. But Hanna Shelest, a senior fellow at the Centre for European Policy Analysis, said that while the brazen Ukrainian attack โ€œwent better than expected,โ€ the reality was that โ€œRussia probably did not move as much force from the eastern flank as hoped.โ€

Only "individual elements of Russian irregular units" have been redistributed to Kursk, writes the Institute for the Study of War.

Some Ukrainian military personnel are criticizing the rush to Kursk Oblast amid problems in Donbass.

"We have to protect what we have. Attacking Kursk takes good soldiers from Pokrovsk - and if it does divert some Russian troops, it only moves the problem of their numbers from one place to another," said Ukrainian infantryman Alexey.
