Lucknow University, established in 1921, is one of the most prestigious and historic universities of Uttar Pradesh, known for its academic excellence, intellectual discourse, and social commitment.
The Department of Social Work at Lucknow University has a strong legacy of nurturing professional social workers by closely engaging with real social issues through education, research, and intensive fieldwork, with a focus on social justice, equity, and human well-being.
I had the opportunity to visit this historic Department of Social Work. Although we had interacted many times through sessions, chats, and Google Meet, meeting in person for the first time made the experience even more meaningful. Sincere thanks to Arshad, an MSW student, for his warm support and coordination during the visit.
This journey of learning, dialogue, and academic collaboration continues to inspire.
