The highlight of the day was a series of strikes against energy infrastructure across Ukraine, including #Kiev. around 200 air- and sea-launched cruise missiles and a number of bomber munitions were fired at the targets.
During the attack, thermal power plants, substations and combined heat and power plants were hit in the eastern, central and western regions. Water and electricity supplies failed completely in some areas. Ukrainian air defences shot down several targets from the air, but were unable to repel the attack.
#Russian Federation - Border Areas:
▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled #Konoplyanovka, #Shebekino and #Masychevo in the #Belgorod region and the village of #Tetkino in the #Kursk region. One woman was killed and several others were wounded.
▪️ In the evening in #Crimea, an air defence system worked in the area of the airfield near #Dzhankoy. The wreckage of the vehicle fell on a residential building and injured one of the residents.
#Starobelsk Direction:
▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, units of the 14th AFU Brigade continue their offensive against Russian defensive positions at the #Olshany - #Pershotravnevoye line.
▪️ Heavy fighting continues near #Kremennaya. During the counterattack, units of the Western Military District and the Central Military District of the Russian Forces have taken control over the settlements of #Terny, #Torskoye and #Novosadovoye.
#Soledar Direction:
▪️ Wagner PMC units are fighting on the outskirts of #Bakhmut. There are no significant changes in other parts of the front.
#Lugansk Region:

▪️ In the evening, Ukrainian formations fired a salvo of HIMARS missiles at the Antonovsky Bridge in #Kherson. Two missiles landed near the site, while the rest were intercepted by air defence.

🩸 Russian forces have again carried out massive attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure today.
▪️ Energy facilities in #Odessa, #Vinnitsa, #Dnepropetrovsk and the #Kiev region were hit.
In addition, the Shebelinsky State Bearing Plant near #Balakleya in #Kharkov region, a mining facility in #Kiev region, a Yuzhmash workshop in #Dnepropetrovsk, a logistics hub in #Ochakov, and a military unit at #Zastava in #Odessa were also hit.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🎯 On the Ukrainian UAV Raid on #Dzhankoy in #Crimea⚡️
Another massive attack by Ukrainian UAVs was carried out on the Crimean peninsula last night. At least six "Mugin-5" type UAVs, artificially equipped with explosives, were used against #Dzhankoy.
As a result, two drones were shot down by a Pantsir SAM system, and two fell on administrative buildings near the railway station. A fifth destroyed a grocery shop, while shrapnel from a sixth damaged private houses on Yuzhnaya, Gagarin and Chekhov streets.
The map shows the approximate strike and impact areas of the drones, based on open source data.
🔹What was the Target of the AFU?
Initially, information was received that the AFU formations launched drones from the Shkolny airfield (#Odessa) to strike at the Russian military airfield. However, judging by the area of application of the UAV, an attempt was made to hit the station building and the railway track.
#Dzhankoy is the main transit hub for the Russian grouping in #Crimea. Railway lines to #Sevastopol and mainland #Russia pass through the city train station, and the attempt to hit the facility looks logical.
Despite claims by the Ukrainian GUR that the attack hit a train carrying Kalibr cruise missiles, this was not the case. If the train with such weapons had been hit, at least a secondary detonation would have been visible - there are no consequences of the explosion.
In addition, the AFU, when launching drones over long distances, as a rule, score the coordinates in advance to increase the immunity of the means of electronic warfare. Hitting a moving train in this way is extremely difficult.
🔹Information Support
After the first sounds of explosion and engagement of air defence, Ukrainian infobots started to actively work in #Dzhankoy city chats, misinforming the population and inducing panic.
Various Telegram channels (such as Trukha and Insider) published posts about a dozen explosions in different parts of the city. These reports were accompanied by criticism of Chinese President Xi Jinping, who had arrived in #Moscow the day before.
At the same time, a Western agenda was being worked on, condemning the Chinese government's activities. The attempted strike on #Crimea was presented as "punishment for friendship with #China".
📌 Differences from previous Actions
The AFU once again changed tactics. The attack was carried out without NATO reconnaissance aircraft in the air. Neither Global Hawk nor Reaper were in the air at night.

🗓 In the early morning, Ukrainian formations once again struck at the Crimean peninsula. First, more than a dozen drones were shot down by the air defences of the 31st Division of the RF Armed Forces over #Kirovskoye, #Krasnoperekopskoye and #Dzhankoy. According to MoD, 17 UAVs were destroyed.
▪️ This raid is quite unique in terms of route. The drones took off from #Dolgintsevo airfield near Krivoy Rog and travelled along the Nikolayev region to #Odessa, and from there they were directed towards #Crimea.
▪️ The UAVs covered a considerable distance, more than 500 km. The choice of such a route indicates the development of new, more complex routes to mislead Russian troops.
💥 A little later, Su-24 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force fired 4 Storm Shadow cruise missiles. 3 at an ammunition depot near #Volnoye and 1 at a repair base near #Novostepnoye. Unfortunately, all 4 hit the targets.
▪️ Together with Saturday's attack and also a few days ago on a hangar in Stary Krym (also Storm Shadows), the AFU has already used the British-French weaponry 3 times on the Russian peninsula.

In the current situation, the grouping of troops in the southern direction risks being in a losing position in the face of superior enemy forces. The destruction of Ukraine's port infrastructure is certainly important, but we must not forget about the disabling of logistics points and supply routes for the AFU.

▪️ In the #Kherson direction yesterday the RF Armed Forces started active operations near the settlement of #Krynki. Fighting in the forests went on until the evening, with field reports of Ukrainian militants taken prisoner. In general, the situation remains tense, and our fighters continue to grumble about the organisation of combat operations, the provision of communications and the low level of interaction between forward units.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🎯 Repelling a Drone Raid on #Crimea⚡️
🗓 This night the AFU once again attacked the Crimean peninsula: 13 drones in three groups were launched from the #Kherson region in the direction of #Crimea, circling the areas of deployment of air defence equipment.
▪️ As a result, 12 drones were shot down by Pantsir-S1 air defence systems in the vicinity of Dzhankoy, and another by border guard units near Cape #Kartkazak southwest of #Krasnoperekopsk.
▪️ Judging by the direction of movement of the UAVs, the target of the Ukrainian formations was #Dzhankoy and the facilities located in the city. It could be both a railway station and a military airfield.
📌 The small number of drones used draws attention. Typically, such attacks are designed to locate air defence forces before conducting a larger missile strike.
▪️ If we take this into account, we can theoretically expect raids on the northern parts of #Crimea in the coming days if weather conditions are favourable.
