🇮🇱🇵🇸 Once again, the Israelis have announced the opening of traffic from Gaza City to the south along the Salah ed-Din highway for a duration of four hours. This move by the Israeli command aims to minimize reputational risks and ease the progress of the ground operation in Gaza, where approximately 400 thousand residents still remain.
By taking this approach, the Israelis can always claim that those who wished to leave have already done so, and that those remaining in the village are merely family members of the militants. Consequently, this hypothetically excuses the Israelis for their indiscriminate strikes, as they can argue that they targeted legitimate military targets.
In addition to this, Israeli troops continue to deny local residents access to basic amenities, effectively forcing them out of the city. As a result, the Israeli Air Force recently launched an attack on one of the remaining reservoirs in Jabaliya, further worsening the severe water shortage in the northern part of the enclave.
Furthermore, the Israeli command is not addressing the issue of delivering humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip. Instead, they are focused on squeezing as much of the population as possible out of the city, thereby granting themselves more freedom of action.
