⚡️ The RF Armed Forces used Geran-2 kamikaze drones to target military and industrial targets in #Dnepropetrovsk, #Konstantinovka, #Zaporozhye, #Kirovograd, as well as in the #Kiev, #Nikolayev, #Cherkassy and #Sumy regions during the night.
🔹#Russia's Hinterland:
▪️ In #Moscow, two Ukrainian UAVs attacked the #Kremlin residence of the Russian president. One of the drones exploded over the dome of the Senate building, wreckage of the second UAV fell in the #Kremlin grounds.
▪️ In the #Krasnodar edge, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in #Volna village, Temryuk region. One of the UAVs was intercepted on approach, while the second one crashed onto a fuel tanker. A major fire broke out at the facility.
🔹#Russia's Border Areas:
▪️ In the #Bryansk region, five Ukrainian drones attacked the military airfield near #Seshcha village.Two UAVs exploded at the facility, damaging an AN-124 aircraft that was not in service.
▪️ In the #Kursk region, the AFU terrorists shelled #Tetkino village for the second time in the last two days. 15 residential houses, a gas pipeline, a power transmission line and a clinic building have been damaged.
🔹 #Starobelsk (#Svatovo) Direction:
▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, artillery duels and mutual reconnaissance continue along the entire line of contact.
▪️ In the #Liman sector, units of the RF Armed Forces are engaged in positional battles near #Makeyevka and Balka Zhuravka.
🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction:
▪️ In the western outskirts of #Bakhmut, units of the Wagner PMC have expanded their zone of control along Pobeda Street.
➖ At the same time, the storming of enemy strongholds on the Liberators of Donbass Street continues.
▪️ Ukrainian command moves additional forces to the frontline and increases the intensity of artillery fire.
🔹#Donetsk Direction (MAP):
▪️ In #Maryinka, fighting continues in the private sector after the breakthrough of the AFU defence near Druzhba Avenue. The enemy is forced to redeploy additional forces to stabilize the frontline.
➖ On the southern outskirts of the town, Russian units pushed through the AFU defence and entered the territory of Gorgaz.
▪️ The Ukrainian terrorist formations once again shelled the #Donetsk agglomeration: Civilian infrastructure was damaged in the Petrovsky district of the DPR capital.
➖ #Mospino, #Yakovlevka, #Stepnoye and #Gorlovka have also been hit. Two people were wounded and several houses have been damaged.
🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ In the #Orekhov section, Ukrainian units supported by armoured vehicles attempted an offensive. The Russians dispersed the advancing enemy grouping with targeted artillery fire. At least four pieces of equipment have been destroyed.
🔹#Kherson Direction on #SouthFront:
▪️ Russian forces launched strikes against accumulations of AFU personnel in #Tyaginka, #Tokarevka and #Kherson, and used guided aerial bombs on identified targets in #Kizomys.
➖ In turn, the Ukrainian terrorists shelled civilian facilities on the left bank of #Kherson region. Residential buildings in #Alyoshki, #Kakhovka and Nova Kakhovka among others came under attack.
🔸Political and other Events:
▪️ The #US announced a new $300 million military aid package for #Ukraine, which will include 155mm howitzers, HIMARS missiles and Hydra 70 unguided aviation missiles, among others.
▪️ Finnish President Sauli Niinisto said at a meeting with Zelensky that his country will not hand over its fighter jets until it receives the F-35.
▪️ #Ukraine's Culture Minister Aleksandr Tkachenko said the Verkhovna Rada has passed a bill simplifying the process of dismantling monuments linked to the Russian empire and Soviet heritage.
▪️ In order to conceal the movement of equipment and personnel in #Kherson, a 24-hour curfew is introduced from 8pm on 5 May to 6am on 8 May. According to the authorities, it will be forbidden to move and stay on the city streets for 58 hours.
