🔸The Situation in #Kherson Region along the #Dnieper River has escalated. In recent weeks, the AFU has been trying to 👉 entrench itself on the left bank, sending reconnaissance teams and probing the RF Armed Forces' defenses in this area.
▪️ For several days the main events have been taking place on Bolshoy Potemkin Island to the south, near #Kindiyka to the east and near #Veletenskoye to the west of the administrative centre. The areas have been partly in a "greyzone" for some time now.
🔹In the Golaya Pristan Sector, an RF Armed Forces man-portable air defence system crew 👉 shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft over #Veletenskoye, while Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft struck the Ukrainian Special Forces of Operation landing area south of #Kizomys with FABs.
▪️ Meanwhile, yesterday the AFU forcibly evacuated civilians from #Veletenskoye and Kizomys as part of preparations for the landing of special forces assault groups on the left bank of the #Dnieper. Bayraktar UAVs are operating almost continuously over #Kherson and #Nikolayev regions.
🔹Around #Kherson, Russian artillerymen supported by aircraft conducted several massive attacks on Ukrainian positions on Bolshoy Potemkin Island, in #Antonovka, #Vysuntsy and the coastal area of Dacha and #Kindiyka.
▪️ From the #Tyaginka - #Berislav - #Zmiyevka line, crews of the 124th and 126th Brigades of the AFU Territorial Defence Forces continue to fire mortar and artillery at the positions of the RF Armed Forces. Targeting is provided by reconnaissance copters.
🔹In the #KrivoyRog Sector near #Dudchany, Zolotaya Balka and #Maryanskoye, the 121st Separate Brigade of the AFU Territorial Defence is training assault teams to ford water obstacles.
▪️ Also the forces of the AFU's 71st Separate Jager Brigade conducted training on storming strongholds in the urban area together with the Territorial Defence in the #Pokrov - #Nikopol - #Marganets section.
📌 At the Moment, significant Ukrainian forces with a total strength of over 15,000 men (at least 20 Territorial Defence battalions with attached artillery units, a National Guard brigade and the 71st Separate Jager Brigade of the AFU are concentrated in the #Kherson direction.
At the same time, the redeployment of new formations to the #Zaporozhye region continues. 🔹Why might such measures be needed?
The AFU command is intensively preparing for the offensive. Although its terms have been shifted more than once, according to characteristic signs, it is not far off. Western curators need success, and they are pushing the AFU hard to attack.
One of the enemys' main goals is to seize the #Zaporozhye region, including #Energodar and #ZNPP. The NPP has been the subject of negotiations mediated by the IAEA since late last year.
Then the Ukrainians tried to push through the creation of first a 30km and then a 5km buffer zone around the #ZNPP with the full withdrawal of Russian troops and equipment, including air defence. The Russians rejected the demands, so no agreement could be reached.
🔹What is happening at the Moment?
Units of the 121st and 129th Territorial Defence (TD) Brigades are concentrated on the Kakhovka Reservoir coast on the right bank of the #Dnieper River. The 178th Battalion of the 121st TD Brigade operates at the #Maryanskoye - #Dudchany line, and 5 Battalions of the 129th TD Brigade are stationed along the reservoir on the #Nikopol - #Ilyinskoye - #Kanevskoye line.
In the last 3 months, at the training ground in #Maryanskoye, under the leadership of the tactical special forces group of the South command, assault groups have been preparing to force water barriers and land troops on the unequipped coast
At least 12 barges are moored at #Nikopol and #Pokrovskoye, which are planned to be used for the transfer of personnel and military equipment to #Energodar, and firing positions of long-range M777 howitzers with Excalibur guided munitions are equipped along the coast.
❗️In Addition, the 👉 recently arrived forces of the 71st Jager Brigade are stationed on the #Pokrovskoye - #Nikopol - #Marganets line. The 71st Jager Brigade took part in #Bakhmut defence, and some survivors of the meat grinder have experience in urban battles.
🔹What will the AFU achieve?
The offensive plan is to strike in one or two main directions and a few stilted ones along the front. The enemy pays special attention to the territories on the left bank of the #Dnieper in their plans.
As the attack starts, one can expect simultaneous forcing of the #Dnieper by tactical landing not only from the #Kherson side but also from the line #Dudchany - Zolotaya Balka - #Maryanskoye - #Pokrovskoye line, where 121st and 129th TD Brigades have taken up positions.
The most combat-ready forces of the 71st Brigade were given the task of assaulting #Energodar from two sides, #Nikopol and #Marganets. In theory, this will allow taking control of the #ZNPP and provide a bridgehead for the landing of a larger group to break through to #Crimea.

🔹 Against the background of the activity of the AFU in other areas, a lull arose in the #Orekhov and #Kamenskoye sections. Nevertheless, since the night the AFU have been conducting intense fire action, preparing for new attacks.
▪️ Units of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade as well as the 47th and 65th Mechanized Brigades are recovering their combat efficiency. Losses are substantial. In the companies involved in the fights, the losses ranges from 50 to 85%.
🔹 But the movement of troops and equipment to the line of contact does not stop. The other day, convoys, including tanks and buses with personnel, passed through #Veselyanka and #Volnyanka.
▪️ Formations of the 117th and 118th Mechanized Brigades of the 10th AC have completed the move from the #Orekhovo section to the #Kamenskoye sector. A forward control post of the 10th AC is equipped in #Stepnogorsk. A similar HQ of the 9th AC has been deployed in Malaya Tokmachka.
❗️Judging the situation, the AFU command is planning a simultaneous attack by the 9th and 10th ACs as well as the Maroon Tactical Group. And now the direction of #Vasilyevka that is the priority.
It would seem that such an offensive would be coordinated with the actions at the #Zaporozhye NPP, but the speculation about provocations so far looks more like part of an information operation to stir up panic.
In addition, most of the enemy formations have abruptly withdrawn from the #Nikopol - #Vyshetarasovka line. Conversely, activity has increased at the bend in the parched #Kakhovskoye reservoir on the line #Maryanskoye- Zolotaya Balka.
For the past 3 or 4 months, the AFU 121st Territorial Defence Brigade has been training to force a crossing of water obstacles. This may indicate a possible strike from this direction to cover the #ZNPP from the south.

▪️ Formations of the 117th and 118th Mechanized Brigades of the 10th AC have completed the move from the #Orekhovo section to the #Kamenskoye sector. A forward control post of the 10th AC is equipped in #Stepnogorsk. A similar HQ of the 9th AC has been deployed in Malaya Tokmachka.
❗️Judging the situation, the AFU command is planning a simultaneous attack by the 9th and 10th ACs as well as the Maroon Tactical Group. And now the direction of #Vasilyevka that is the priority.
It would seem that such an offensive would be coordinated with the actions at the #Zaporozhye NPP, but the speculation about provocations so far looks more like part of an information operation to stir up panic.
In addition, most of the enemy formations have abruptly withdrawn from the #Nikopol - #Vyshetarasovka line. Conversely, activity has increased at the bend in the parched #Kakhovskoye reservoir on the line #Maryanskoye- Zolotaya Balka.
For the past 3 or 4 months, the AFU 121st Territorial Defence Brigade has been training to force a crossing of water obstacles. This may indicate a possible strike from this direction to cover the #ZNPP from the south.
