📋🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Two Majors #Summary for the Morning of 1 May 2024; pub. 07:01📍

🔹The Russian Army retains the initiative all along the front, due to the reduced AFU troops in exhausting battles and the delayed #US aid release. At the time of writing this, our pilots from some directions report the absence of SAMs. The solution of the AFU's logistical task of delivering aid from #Poland and #Germany has already begun.

🔹New are the regular strikes on #Crimea from the #Kherson region by ATACMS with a range of 300 km and cluster warheads against airfields and air defence. The AFU is able to launch at least 15 missiles at a time, indicating that it retains MLRS installations of the HIMARS or M270 type. The AFU is solving the task of inflicting a significant damage on #Russia on the eve of the inauguration of the Supreme and Victory Day, as the front situation will not be reversed now.

🔹#Pokrovskoye (west of #Avdeyevka) has become a new direction of the Russian offensive. In heavy bloody battles a number of settlements have been taken, the breakthrough of the enemy's defence by 5 km and the formation of the #Ocheretino ledge became significant. At the same time, we are not yet talking about a strategic offensive with deep frontal breakthroughs. Such manoeuvres are extremely difficult to change the nature of the war.

🔹Thus, on the direction to #ChasovYar, the RFAF broke through to the eastern outskirts, using close to the front aviation, under cover of massive artillery fire. But to develop success under the daily use of hundreds of FPV-drones by the AFU is extremely difficult. Thus, the real grinding down of Ukrainian reserves, thrown under numerous Russian FABs with UMPC, has begun. By the way, our aviators report the arrival of new missiles from the industry, which is working, unlike the Ukrainian one.

🔹The AFU is objectively experiencing personnel difficulties. Despite mass mobilisation and attempts to get recruits out of Europe, there are constant complaints about the lack of manpower. Even with sufficient recruitment, the formation of new units will take time, and hastily prepared mobilised who were immediately transferred to the front are unlikely to become effective combat units. Ukrainian servicemen who have fled the front are increasingly asking for help, at least with advice.

🔹In the Russian Army, changes in bureaucratic procedures are extremely difficult. The strike by the AFU with a multitude of homemade aircraft-type drones on the airfield in the #Krasnodar region was indicative. The storage of the much-loved UMPC was apparently not carried out in fortified bunkers. The enemy continues to try to destroy our oil refineries. At night it was reported about a strike on a facility in the #Ryazan region. The above facts point to the still focal nature of our air defence, given the depth of UAV penetrations.

🔹The news about the arrest of Deputy Defence Minister Timur Ivanov, which was greeted with joy at the front, is gradually fading away. Nevertheless, this event shows that the country's top military-political leadership understands the complex problems in the MoD.

🔹May-June is predicted to bring intensification of military front operations. After the inauguration and seating in the government, the presidential election period will be over, and landmark decisions cannot be ruled out. Many call #Kharkov and #Sumy directions the most probable directions of RFAF strikes, but how to hide the armada of personnel and equipment from satellites and enemy agents remains a mystery. Nevertheless, #Kharkov begins the actual evacuation. First of all, fat purses and means of production are being taken out, preparations for the reception of hundreds of thousands of refugees have begun, and Kiev has turned to international organisations for help behind the scenes.

📌 At the moment, the advancement of the Russian Army on the front several hundred m a day, draconian mobilisation and the supply by the West do not favour a quick end to the war.

🗓 On the third night, the enemy attacked #Sevastopol. The governor reported that small arms were used in repelling the UAV attack, debris from downed UAVs fell on the Sevastopol Substation, and there was a partial blackout. Around 04:00, dozens of UAVs and more than 5 unmanned boats are claimed to have been destroyed. As of 06:30, monitoring channels were reporting an ongoing battle with the drone boats since the night. Satellite imagery (see also on bottom👇) of the enemy has been published showing the results of previous attacks on #Belbek Airfield, with two burned aircraft reported.

💥In #Krasnodar Territory, up to 10 UAVs attacked an oil refinery in #Novorossiysk, two more in #Tuapse, and fires broke out.

🔹In the #Kharkov direction, the Russian Army continues offensive actions. There is heavy fighting in #Volchansk, our troops are attacking on the outskirts of #Liptsy. The enemy is pulling up reserves, using FPV-drones. The RFAF are shelling enemy positions with TORNADO-S MLRS and FABs with UMPC. In the #Liptsy direction, Russian troops have advanced 300 to 600 m deep towards the village of #Liptsy. In the #Volchansk direction, our assault groups gained a foothold on the northern outskirts of #Volchansk town and advanced to a depth of 450 m.

💥In the #Belgorod region, the enemy is responding to the successes of the RFAF with attacks on the peaceful population. At night in the #Oktyabrsky settlement a kamikaze drone attacked a car with a driver and 3 passengers (a mum, a dad and a child). The woman died on the spot. The father with the wounded 4-year-old child and the driver travelled by hitchhiking to a medical facility in #Belgorod. The child could not be saved. The strikes of two UAVs of aircraft type hit #Belgorod and #Pushkarnoye, Belgorod district.

🔹In the #Pokrovskoye direction, fighting at the #Ocheretino ledge at #Arkhangelskoye.

🔹On the #Vremyevka ledge, heavy fighting in #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye.

🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, in #Rabotino the situation remains difficult. The enemy is trying to counterattack, uses a lot of UAVs. Report about the advance of our troops northwest of #Verbovoye.

💥In the #Kursk region, #Gueyvo, #Sverdlikovo, #Gornal, Nikolayevo-Daryino and #Lebedevka of the Sudzhansky district, the Sudzha Checkpoint, the village of #Gordeyevka of the Korenevsky district, the settlements of #Krasnooktyabrsky and Novy Put, the village of Popovo-Lezhachi of the Glushkovsky district were shelled. An explosive device was dropped from a Ukrainian copter near the village of #Gorodishche, Rylsk district. Near #Gornal, Sudzhansky district, AFU copters dropped 5 explosive devices. In #Tyotkino, an explosive device dropped from a drone damaged the roof of a private car. In the afternoon, 2 drops were recorded in #Tyotkino, and another in the village of #Volfino in the Glushkovsky district.
🛡Electronic Warfare equipment suppressed copters near the villages of #Gordeevka and #Troitskoye in the Korenevsky district, the village of #Gorodishche in the Rylsky district, the Sudzha Checkpoint, the village of #Oleshnya and the villages of #Zaoleshenka and #Gornal in the Sudzhansky district.

💥In the #DPR, four civilians were killed by Nazi strikes and three others were injured, including a girl born in 2018.

🗓 The Past Week passed against the backdrop of Shoygu's departure for a new position and Belousov's appointment as the new defence minister. On Tuesday, 14 May 2024, the Investigative Committee of #Russia announced the opening of a criminal case and the detention of Kuznetsov, head of the Personnel Department of the RF MoD, for his acts of corruption committed when he was the head of the 8th Directorate of the General Staff of the RFAF (protection of state secrets). The board of the MoD did not bring any drastic changes in the staff of the ministry, but such changes are expected and are extremely necessary. As with the arrested Timur Ivanov, "everybody knows everything," but a one-time work on all officials may have the opposite effect.

🔹Beloussov has accepted a heavy "inheritance" with familiar ailments. "Beautiful reports" still hinder the objective assessment of the situation and making correct managerial decisions, which is also the reason for his thesis "you can make mistakes, but you can't lie". The supply of the Army with small drones, electronic warfare, optoelectronic and sound-monitoring complexes, communications, strengthening of our air defence, bringing the military economy to "normal combat" can be named at a glance. The tasks of the Supreme have been announced by the new Minister, and there is a lot of work to be done.

🔹In the new #Kharkov direction, our troops are creating a buffer zone, there are heavy battles, a number of settlements have been occupied, in which the defence of the AFU has fallen apart. The enemy is mired in scandals and theft in the construction of engineering barriers, but managed to pull up reserves from other directions and slow down the advance of our troops near #Liptsy and in #Volchansk. The Russian Army is responding with a covering manoeuvre and FAB and artillery strikes.

🔹The Enemy is conducting daily shelling of the frontline #Kursk and #Belgorod regions, and weapons supplied by #NATO countries are being used against the inhabitants of the latter, which, according to the promises of our honourable agencies, should have had serious consequences for Kiev. Nevertheless, the promised action in the public field has not yet been observed.

🔹The Advance of our troops on the #Ocheretino ledge west of #Avdeyevka has slowed down; to the south, our troops are moving forward with heavy fighting. The RFAF retain the initiative in the #Kupyansk direction near #Kislovka. Bloody battles are taking place near the eastern part of #ChasovYar. The assault on #Krasnogorovka in the #SouthDonetsk direction continues. #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye on the #Vremyevka ledge. On the #Zaporozhye front, our troops are storming the ill-fated #Rabotino, suffering heavy losses from drones and artillery of the AFU, while there is nowhere to entrench in the destroyed village itself, there is practically no small arms fighting. The hope in this section is for an advance from #Verbovoye, but its pace is also understandably slow.

🔹The Week was characterised by massive drone and rocket attacks by the AFU in #Crimea and #Krasnodar territory. The enemy's targets are military airfields, oil refineries and port infrastructure. The enemy inflicts, above all, economic damage, which clearly exceeds the cost of normal air defence organisation.

🔹Thus, the Russian Army generally retains the initiative all along the front, a new direction has been opened, which draws the AFU forces away from other sections. #Ukraine's military machine, supported only at #NATO's expense, is being systematically destroyed in the battles. A "window of opportunity" for our aviation is being noted, as enemy air defence systems have been knocked out or depleted, with not much time left before new systems are delivered from the West.

🔹In the #Kharkov direction, our troops are engaged in shooting battles and are striking with TOS-1A and TOS-2 heavy flamethrower systems.

🔹In the #ChasovYar direction, the RFAF are maintaining an offensive tempo of combat operations. Our assault groups continue to improve their tactical positions on the outskirts of #Kalinovka and in the Kanal Microdistrict.

🔹West of #Avdeyevka, there are no significant changes. There are battles near #Netaylovo, #Umanskoye, west of #Solovyevo. The enemy has recognised the loss of #Netaylovo and in some sources reports the start of fighting at #Karlovka.

🔹In the #SouthDonetsk direction, the assault on #Urozhaynoye and #Straromayorskoye continues.

🛡In the #Krasnodar territory, an AFU UAV was destroyed by air defence forces over #Armavir.

💥In the #Belgorod region, a civilian was wounded in #Shchetinovka as a result of a UAV strike. In #Murom and #Voznesenovka, two moving vehicles were attacked by the AFU in the Shebekinsky urban district using drones. Also, a car in the village of #Bezymeno in Grayvoron urban district came under attack.
🛡At night, one UAV and seven Grad MLRS rockets were destroyed over the territory of #Belgorod region,.

💥In the #Kursk region, the hamlet of #Oleshnya, Sudzhansky district, and the village of #Yelizavetovka, Glushkovsky district, were shelled. Explosive device drops from AFU copters and attacks by kamikaze drones were recorded in the village of #Guyevo, Sudzhansky district; the village of #Gorodishche, Rylsky district; the settlement of #Krasnooktyabrsky; and the villages of #Sergeyevka, #Dronovka and #Neonilovka, Glushkovsky district. In the village of #Dronovka, an explosive device dropped from a copter damaged the service car of one of the agricultural farms.

💥The Enemy, for the second night, has been attacking #Crimea and #Krasnodar from the air. The AFU launched two waves of UAVs, including jets, in the area of the Crimean bridge and #Taman. Fires are reported to have broken out in the areas of port transport terminals. Thus, in Temryuksky district the infrastructure of the oil depot was damaged,👇 3 tanks with oil products were damaged and are burning, there are casualties among the employees of the enterprise.

🔹In #Kharkov region, in the #Volchansk direction, fierce fighting continues in the town. Assault troops broke through the AFU defence in the area of multi-storey buildings and are moving forward, the enemy is forced to retreat deep into the area. In the #Liptsy direction, the AFU forces of up to two platoons counterattacked, but were driven back. The reserve units, which Kiev had planned for a counteroffensive, continue to be brought into action.

🔹In the direction of #ChasovYar, the offensive actions of the RFAF continue on the eastern outskirts of the towny, near #Kleshcheyevka and #Bogdanovka.

🔹West of #Avdeyevka, our troops are expanding the zone of control around #Netaylovo. In the centre of the front between #Umanskoye and #Novopokrovskoye, the AFU positions west of #Solovyevo have been half-covered, and the RFAF are developing their success.

🔹On the #Vremyevka ledge, our troops reported successes in #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye, as a result of heavy fighting the RFAF advanced for several days in a row.

🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, they reported intensification of fighting south of Shcherbaki, according to reports from the field our troops have moved to active combat operations.

🔹In #Kherson region, in the area of Nestriga Island, in connection with the displacement of the enemy from previously occupied positions, our marines from 810th Brigade concentrated their efforts on consolidating on the islands and knocking out the enemy from them to prevent his transfer to the left bank. As a result, the activity on the left bank decreased.

💥In #Belgorod region, the AFU does not stop terrorist attacks on peaceful civilians. A civilian was killed, 9 more wounded in the village of #Zozuli, Borisovsky district: The AFU with a kamikaze drone attacked a passenger Gazelle, which was carrying employees of an agricultural enterprise from work. Also in the village of #Zozuli, two people were injured as a result of a drone attack on a private house. In the village of #Belyanka, Shebekinsky urban district, a man sustained multiple injuries as a result of an attack by an enemy UAV on another agricultural enterprise. In the village of #Gruzskoye, Borisovsky district, a civilian was injured as a result of one of the detonations of an explosive device. The AFU dropped explosive devices from helicopters near the village of #Viktorovka in the Korenevsky district, the village of #Tyotkino and the village of #Oleshnya.
