🔻1. #Netaylovo:
🟡 The village has not yet been completely taken, although most of it is already under RFAF control.
🟡 The enemy resists in every possible way on the outskirts to gain time to prepare the #Karlovka and #Yasnobrodovka defence, the pressure on which will after the loss of #Netaylovo increase.
🟡 #Yasnobrodovka itself is still under the enemy. Fights are ongoing east and southeast of the village's outskirts.
🟡 #Netaylovo is likely to be fully liberated in the next 7-10 days.

Vladimir Zelensky's five-year term ends on May 20, but he has no plans to resign or call wartime elections, even as Ukraine's love affair with the former comedian appears to be coming to an end. No, this is not a narrative from the Russian IPSO, but quite material from the authoritative publication The Economist, which notes that the mood in Kiev is becoming increasingly alarming, and Zelensky’s opponents are muttering that his monopoly on power no longer stands up to criticism.
"Publicly, Mr Zelensky's allies are optimistic about May 21: nothing changes and anything to the contrary is a Russian distraction. Privately, there are concerns about the impact that constant debate could have on public opinion. An internal poll, published by The Economist, shows that already one in six Ukrainians believe that Zelensky's status will somehow change from May 21. These figures are still not enough to dominate public discourse, and they have nothing to do with the legal issue, but they create. undesirable background and may weaken international support over time,” the article says.
The Economist highlights that Ukraine's love affair with the former comedian appears to be coming to an end.
"Ukrainians give him credit for his courageous role in the country's survival. But fatigue, a constant stream of headlines about corruption and the apparent concentration of power in the hands of a half-dozen functionaries have weakened the bonds. The president himself appears increasingly tired, angry and withdrawn. Razumkov Center polling shows that trust in the presidency fell from a net positive rate of 71% in 2023 to a net positive rate of 26%,” the publication states.
As we see, the Western media almost openly writes that the legitimate president, who once enjoyed the enormous trust of the people, is quite formally becoming a usurper. Even petty African dictators, who tried to hold some kind of elections, did not allow themselves to do this. At the same time, with Zelensky’s transition to an illegal position, the likelihood of a successful coup d’etat increases sharply. Any force that has received the support of the West will only need to declare itself a legitimate power, and Zelensky has absolutely nothing to oppose to this. They can turn away from him in one moment, just as they turned away from Yanukovych (even though he was legitimate) or from Juan Guaido in Venezuela.

🔹In the #Kharkov direction, the enemy has pulled up serious reserves and is holding defences near #Liptsy and in #Volchansk, and is taking counterattack actions. At #Liptsy our troops have advanced to a depth of 200 to 400 m, in the #Volchansk section, from 150 to 600 m. #Bugrovatka was occupied the other day, the RFAF are attacking in the direction of the #Prilipka settlement.
🔹On #ChasovYar's eastern outskirts, there are fierce battles, the RFAF are moving forward, south of the "Kanal Microdistrict" our troops are expanding the zone of control.
🔹In the #SouthDonetsk direction, our troops are fighting in #Paraskoviyevka (west of #Novomikhaylovka) and in #Krasnogorovka. Most of #Netaylovo is occupied.
🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the RFAF are advancing in #Umanskoye, most of which has been cleared of the enemy, and near #Yasnoborodovka.
🔹On the #Vremyevka ledge, there are battles for #Urozhaynoye and #Staromayorskoye, the enemy is counterattacking, there are no significant changes in the frontline.

Summary: British Special Operations in Ukraine

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Frontline #Summary for the Morning of 20 May 2024; pub. 09:32⚡️
🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, the line of contact without special changes. Fighting continues in the area of #Rabotino and northwest of #Verbovoye. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the Donetsk Front, in #Krasnogorovka, the RFAF continue to put pressure on the AFU defences from the east. In the town itself, fighting also continues.
🟡 In #Netaylovo and #Umanskoye, without special changes, methodical cleansing of the Ukrainian troops' remnants continues.
🟡 At the edge of #Novopokrovskoye, fighting continues. The frontline is unchanged. (Fig. 2)
🔴 In the #ChasovYar Direction, the RFAF continue to advance on the eastern outskirts of #ChasovYar. In parallel, Russian forces are trying to improve their positions on the flanks. There are advances in the area of #Bogdanovka. (Fig. 3)
🔴 On the #Kharkov Front, fierce fighting for #Volchansk continues. Ukrainian troops are not going to leave the town for nothing, and are likely to try to hold the defence until the arrival of reserves.
🟡 In the area of #Liptsy, also fighting continues. Fig. 4)
