▪️ In the #Avdeyevka direction, the offensive of the RF Armed Forces continues. By the evening it was reported that south of #Avdeyevka a section of the railway south of the former recreation centre "Tsarskaya Okhota", which the AFU had turned into a fortification before the war, had been taken under control. The fighting is taking place near the village of #Berdychi and in the village of #Stepovoye (#Petrovskoye), and the "slagheap" on the northwestern outskirts of #Avdeyevka has been occupied. All day there were heavy bloody battles, since morning our artillery and aviation worked closely.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front the RF Armed Forces continue to destroy the enemy, who are sending forward small groups of infantry. Our barrel and rocket artillery and heavy flamethrower systems are working.

Nevertheless, the threat of the AFU carrying out an operation to force the #Dnieper on a large scale remains high, despite the simultaneous conduct of a radio game to misinform the Russian command.
▪️ South of #Artyomovsk, the AFU attempted to attack our positions at #Ozaryanovka (located near #Kurdyumovka), but the attempt was foiled by artillery fire.
▪️ At night, an AFU UAV destroyed two residential buildings on the outskirts of #Belgorod. Three people died, including a small child. Two civilians are in intensive care. During the day, the AFU shelled the villages of #Dronovka in the Grayvoronsky urban district and #Grafovka in the Krasnoyaruzsky district, and a downed UAV detonated in #Novopetrovka in the Valuysky urban district. The RF Armed Forces are conducting constant missile and bombing strikes on AFU positions. The enemy is responding with counterattacks in an attempt to seize the initiative.
🔹Russian kamikaze drones attacked #Izmail's port infrastructure. The territory of the seaport, grain elevators and a ship repair plant were damaged. A missile strike hit a Ukrainian boat anchorage in #Solonchaky, #Nikolayev region. An airfield was hit in #Uman, #Cherkassy region.
🔹On other parts of the front, there were no significant changes, there are positional battles, the enemy is bringing reserves to the frontline after the losses suffered and is rotating shattered units.

The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that a hangar with landing boats in the #Nikolayev region was hit. There are also reports of arrivals in #Uman and in the #Kharkov region.

🗓 By morn, Ukrainian formations again attacked the south of #Russia, hitting #Crimea and #Kherson region.
▪️ First, at around 10:40, 3 Neptune antiship missiles were fired from the Alibey firing range in the #Odessa region. 2 of them were shot down on the approach to #Sevastopol (target was a mooring for ships and boats), and the 3rd was downed near Cape #Tarkhankut (AFU likely intended to strike an air defence positioning area).
▪️ Then, close to one 13:00, near #Perevalnoye village, an R-100 drone fell into a field at the training ground. Apparently, the drone was landed by an EW team. It detonated without causing any damage to infrastructure or civilian objects.
🔹 At the same time, a MiG-29 naval aviation fighter detected up to 8 unmanned boats moving towards #Sevastopol and Cape #Tarkhankut. Additional aircraft and patrol boats were sent to meet them.
▪️ The AFU boats slowed down, and those that were moving towards #Sevastopol turned around. 4 were destroyed 100-120 km west of Cape #Tarkhankut, and the rest, according to RF MoD, were destroyed later, one of them was a landing boat.
🔹 Almost at the same time, as the attack on #Crimea, Ukrainian formations launched several combined strikes on the #Kherson region. MiG-29 fighters from #Kanatovo and #Uman fired several missiles, probably decoys.

In the morning, missile strikes were launched against facilities in #Kharkov region and in #Ochakov ( #Nikolayev region).

📋🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Two Majors #Report #Summary for the Morning of 16 April 2024; pub. 06:59📍
🎯 The RFAF carried out attacks at night on enemy targets in #Starokonstantinov, #Khmelnitsky region, #Uman, #Cherkassy region, #Kherson, Novy Bug, #Nikolayev region, #Mirgorod, #Poltava region. At this point in time, the depletion of enemy air defences makes it possible to solve problems with fewer means of destruction.
🔹In the #Kherson direction, there are battles in the area of #Krynki. Yesterday it was reported about the activation of small enemy groups with the support of the AFU artillery. Drones are still a problem. The enemy uses a new tactics of using FPV in electronic warfare conditions. He try to use the drone as a projectile on the final attack trajectory, sending it to the target along a given trajectory without a control signal. Civilians were attacked by the AFU: one person was injured in #Radensk, in #Yubileynoye nine residential buildings were damaged.
🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, heavy fighting in #Rabotino. Everything is used on this piece of land, from assault groups and drones to tanks and rocket artillery. Fighting in the center of the village.
🔹The #Vremevka ledge is characterised by active actions of the RFAF in the area of #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye.
🔹In the #SouthDonetsk (#Ugledar) direction, there are battles for every house in #Novomikhaylovka. Our troops are also trying to cover the settlement from the south and north. The resumption of the active phase of fighting in #Georgiyevka in the direction of #Kurakhovo is reported. On the southern outskirts of #Krasnogorovka, our troops are expanding the control zone.
🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the RFAF ares developing success in #Semyonovka, but the village has not yet been liberated, the battle is in the central part of the development. Battles at #Netaylovo, #Umanskoye, #Berdychi, and #Novokalinovo.
🔹In #ChasovYar's eastern outskirts, the RFAF continue to attack, increasing the pace. The plan of our troops is visible to come out from the flanks from #Bogdanovka and #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye) to the Vodokanal and to bind the enemy forces in the Microdistrict as much as possible.
🔹At #Belogorovka and #Terny, the fighting continues.
💥On the #DPR's peaceful population, the enemy fired 45 rounds of ammunition, a man born in 1964 died in #Gorlovka as a result of a drone drop.

▪️ Russian military personnel repelled 10 counterattacks, improved the position along the frontline and took more advantageous positions, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said;
▪️ Kiev lost more than 1.100 militants, Western artillery pieces and other equipment, an ammo depot and a Grad MLRS vehicle were destroyed, MoD added;
▪️ During the day, 155 Ukrainian UAVs, 6 Storm Shadows, 2 HARM missiles, 4 MALD decoys, as well as 2 HIMARS and Uragan shells were shot down, the report specified;
▪️ The FSB of #Russia reported the detention of a Russian who, on instructions from the Ukrainian special service, remotely blew up the car of ex-SBU officer Prozorov;
▪️ #Ukraine tried to attack #Russia using a small-sized balloon. It was destroyed by air defence over the #Kursk region, MoD said;

🔹The RFAF continue offensive operations in several areas and carry out targeted strikes on various targets in the territory of the so-called #Ukraine. Several targets were hit in #Sumy and the region, as well as #Uman and #Kherson, and the #Starokonstantinov Airfield was again hit.
🔹In the #Bakhmut direction, assault operations are underway in #ChasovYar and the surrounding area, and the Russian Aerospace Forces are launching missile and bomb attacks on the enemy-occupied part of the town.
🔹In the #Avdeyevka direction, Russian forces are advancing to #Novokalinovo and the surrounding area. In addition, there have been reports of control over the #Zarya Gardening Community, but so far without confirmation.
🔹In the #Ugledar direction, Russian forces are busy liquidating the “pocket” in the #Pervomayskoye - #Nevelskoye section and are conducting assault battles in #Krasnogorovka, where at least half of the private sector south of the railway has come under the control of the RFAF.
🔹In the #Zaporozhye direction, in #Rabotino, the enemy has lost some positions on the western outskirts of the village, and counter-fighting is taking place. To the northwest of #Verbovoye, the RFAF are advancing in landings.
