⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🔎 On Drone Attacks⚡️

🔹Attacks by enemy drones against our military facilities and critical transport, fuel infrastructure and energy supply companies have become systematic. Another series of strikes took place at night on 30 August, covering the territories of 7 regions of #Russia. The #Pskov, #Bryansk, #Orel, #Kaluga and #Ryazan regions, as well as #Moscow and #Sevastopol.

▪️ As a result of the strike on the military airfield in #Pskov, up to 4 Il-76 military transport aircraft were damaged. According to some reports, 2 aircraft were completely burned. The #Pskov airport was also damaged.

🔹The current situation highlights a number of serious problems in the defence organisation. If in the summer and autumn of 2022 we were constantly facing the threat of SRGs, which penetrated deep into our territory up to 50 km, committing sabotage at the abovementioned facilities, now the enemy has switched to the use of attack UAVs, increasing the frequency and effectiveness of attacks. The use of SRGs today has become more precise. At the same time, let us pause on the subject of SRGs and touch on it below.

🔹The main question that experts are now asking is the flight range of attacking UAVs. According to one version, the strikes on the #Peskov Airfield could have been carried out from the territory of #Estonia.

▪️ If the Baltic States provide their territory and airspace for strikes on Russian military facilities, it is obvious that these actions are provocative in nature. At the moment, the West is trying to calibrate and monitor the Kremlin's reaction to the "Israeli scheme" (strikes on Syria from the airspace of third countries) in order to create a precedent for confrontation with #NATO countries.

▪️ In fact, the Alliance is directly forcing us to take military retaliation, for which we are not ready at the moment.

▪️ On the other hand, an adequate response to such actions would be to "wipe off the face of the earth" all economic assets of the Baltics in #Russia (and there are many of them). The West will respond to any military measures and demonstration of force with the "Blockade of #Kaliningrad", which will inevitably aggravate the situation on the territory of #Belarus.

🔹The possible use of SRGs and agents by the enemy cannot be discounted either. First, the agents recruited by the GUR and SBU deliver the means of destruction to the territory of the Russian Federation, organising their laying in caches in different regions. And the perpetrators, represented by specific SRGs sent to #Russia in advance under the guise of refugees, retrieve them, assembling components and equipping them with explosives. So attempts by the enemy to launch UAVs against military facilities may well be carried out from our territory. Of course, such precedents are of a more isolated nature.

📌 Undoubtedly, the topic is debatable and should be the subject of expert discussion. However, the following points are obvious today:

✅ Strikes highlight the problems of echeloning our air defence system, security and defence of strategic facilities;

✅ the West is "pumping" us for a response, provoking us to retaliate, which we should do anyway for reputational reasons;

✅ it is necessary to take asymmetric response measures against the main strategic adversary, while increasing the frequency of hitting its infrastructure on the territory of #Ukraine.

🔹The Ukrainian media happily reported that Romanian farmers had lifted the blockade of crossings on the Romanian-Ukrainian border. But they quickly realised that they were too fast. After resuming the blocking, the farmers managed to get concessions from their government very quickly and then they lifted their blockade. Carriers complained that they were forced to stand idle for a long time at the border due to the trucks with Ukrainian license plates. Now there are separate lanes for EU lorries promised. Ukrainians will have to stand in queues longer. Also, the rules of weight control and some regulations on grain transportation will be tightened for them.

🔹A British Spectator columnist accused Zelensky of imposing sanctions on 17 Ukrainian companies and 1,611 Ukrainian citizens. He wrote that companies and their management are subject to police raids and criminal prosecutions for unspecified reasons of national security. According to him, the protection of security is only an excuse. In fact, the sanctions are imposed by the Ukrainian authorities to eliminate business competitors. The main goal is to put businessmen close to themselves at the head of companies.

🔹Estonian PM Kaya Kallas admitted that at her meeting with Zelensky in #Tallinn, the deportation of Ukrainian men of military age from #Estonia to #Ukraine was discussed. Callas stressed that she ruled out the expulsion of Ukrainians who are legally in her country. She agreed that Zelensky had the right to address them and call them back. But #Estonia itself "will definitely not do anything to extradite them." Zelensky, in turn, at a joint press conference, even promised that not all those who returned would be sent to the front. They will simply be able to work in #Ukraine and pay taxes, which will be used to finance the AFU. It is unlikely that many people will believe him.

🔹Donald Trump Jr. has offered his own recipe for resolving the conflict between #Russia and #Ukraine. "Depriving money," he wrote on X, "is the only way to start negotiations." He believes that American financing only leads to the appearance of billionaire oligarchs in #Ukraine, and called the talk about the alleged AFU front successes a lie. In fact, it turned out that #Ukraine is not winning anywhere and probably was not even supposed to win, he added. Meanwhile, young people are sent to fight on the frontline as "cannon fodder". On the eve of the presidential election, a campaign is starting in the #US . The caucus (preliminary voting) in Iowa begins, at which the Republicans will determine their presidential candidate. Donald Trump is considered the clear favorite there.

🔹Ukrainian public figures were outraged that the #US company PepsiCo forbade mentioning the war in its advertising. Back in autumn, the company was looking for a new PR agency in #Ukraine and set a number of conditions. No mention of war, hostilities, aggression, military personnel, the AFU, no support for #Ukraine and the army. They have found out about this now and are in shock. Interestingly, back in September, the Ukrainian Agency for the prevention of corruption included PepsiCo in the list of international sponsors of the war. Now the company is being attacked for refusing to promote war and violence.

🔹But with the Umanpivo company in the #Cherkassy region,everything is fine. The company renamed its Zhigulevskoye beer to Venskoye (Viennese). Apparently, it is assumed that such a measure will strengthen the orientation of consumers of the foam drink towards European values. However, the taste of the beer will remain the same as it was.
