The Ukrainian command continues to redeploy units of the 59th AFU Motorized Infantry Brigade near #Donetsk. The forward positions are being rotated and the fire positions are being equipped.
The units of the 59th Brigade have suspended their leave until February next year. Ukrainian servicemen are spreading information about an impending counteroffensive against Russian positions in December.
By 10 January 2023, units of the AFU's 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, which is currently partially on combat recovery in the #Chernigov region, are expected to arrive at the #Kurakhovo - #Karlovka line.
♦️#Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk) Section:
Two BMPs with personnel have been transferred to the settlement of #Toretsk to reinforce the AFU defence. Ammunition and shells have also been delivered.
♦️#Avdeyevka Sector:
Personnel from the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade have arrived in #Orlovka, #Ocheretino, #Memrik and #Galitsinovka . The 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade has been moved to its positions near #Ocheretino.
▪️ In #Netailovo, artillery units of the 59th Brigade are setting up firing positions for self-propelled artillery units. The #Donetsk agglomeration continues to be shelled from the forward lines.
♦️#Maryinka:
Fighting continues. According to pro-Ukrainian locals, units of the 35th Separate Marines Brigade have launched a counteroffensive in the city limits.
▪️ Reinforcements have arrived from the #Zaporozhye direction. Two rifle companies of the AFU's 102nd Territorial Defence Brigade on vehicles from the #Gulyaypole section of the front.
♦️#Ugledar Sector:
The AFU are amassing forces near the #Vremyevka ledge. Reinforcements have been moved to the vicinity of Volnoye Polye. Reconnaissance UAVs are operating along the front line, guiding Ukrainian gun and rocket artillery.

▪️ Units of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade try to hold back the advance of Russian troops near #Peski and #Pervomayskoye.
A group of Ukrainian militants was captured during the assault of a stronghold in #Pervomayskoye by the RF Armed Forces.
▪️ Barrel and self-propelled artillery crews indiscriminately shell the #Donetsk agglomeration, targeting civilian infrastructure.
High-precision M982 Excalibur rounds are occasionally used. During their use, the AFU suspends all electronic warfare equipment.
▪️ To reinforce the garrison, the 59th Brigade, mobilised for rotation, has been redeployed to #Memrik and #Galitsinovka. The personnel were transported from #Pokrovsk railway station.

🔹#Avdeyevka Sector:
▪️ Over the past few days, the RF Armed Forces have expanded their area of control near #Novobakhmutovka, advancing towards #Novokalinovo and #Aleksandropol.
▪️ To the south, Russian units gained control of an important hill east of #Krasnogorovka, improving the tactical position ahead of an assault on AFU positions in the village. The liberation of #Krasnogorovka will enable the expansion of the bridgehead north of the Avdiivka fortification.
▪️ Concurrently, ammunition was supplied to the #Avdeyevka itself and infantry units rotated and additional firing points for large-calibre machine guns have been set up.
▪️ South of #Avdeyevka, positional battles continue in #Pervomayskoye. For the moment, the advance has stalled - both sides are holding previously occupied lines without going on the offensive.
🔹#Maryinka Sector:
▪️ Russian troops have knocked out the paratroopers of Ukrainian Air Assault Forces' 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade from Blagodatnaya and Heroes of Chernobyl Streets, completely gaining a foothold on the southern outskirts of the town near Druzhba Avenue. Partially from #Maryinka and #Georgiyevka, the paratroopers of the 79th Brigade have been withdrawn to recover.
▪️ To the southwest, the AFU have reinforced their positions in #Pobeda. Three Kozak armoured vehicles with militants have been moved to the village, machine gun crews have been deployed on the heights, and the approaches to the strongholds are controlled from copters.
▪️ In the second echelon in #Galitsinovka and #Shevchenko the tank groups of the AFU's 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade and 1st Separate Tank Brigade have been deployed. Units of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade are in reserve in #Galitsinovka in case the frontline positions are breached.
🔹#Ugledar Section:
▪️ Positional fighting continues. After a breakthrough to #Nikolskoye dachas, the forces of the AFU's 72nd Mechanized Brigade turned to defence, and the Russian marines of the 155th Brigade of the Pacific Fleet are fighting in the dachas near #Ugledar.
▪️ In #Ugledar, additional anti-tank systems positions of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade have been equipped, and reserves of the AFU's 68th Separate Jager Infantry Brigade have been deployed to #Bogoyavlenka in case of a breach of the defenses. In addition, Ukrainian ZU-23 mobile air defence units based on a Mitsubishi L200 are operating at the #Bogoyavlenka - #Ugledar line.
▪️ A newly created unit of mobilised troops has arrived from the #Temirovka training range in #Zaporozhye region to #Bogatyr, while advanced missile and artillery weapons depots have been deployed in #Novoukrainka and #Bohoyavlenka.
