In the morning, residents discovered the wreckage of a missile near the village of Gorbaha, #Brest region. According to the Ministry of Defence, it was fired from the territory of #Ukraine and shot down by Belarusian air defence assets.
The Belarusian silovik channel @belarusian_silovik published photos of the wreckage, in which parts of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile can be clearly identified. It was fired by a Ukrainian SAM during an attempt to repel a massive air strike by the RF Armed Forces, see 👉 HERE, but it lost its target and flew into the territory of the Republic of #Belarus.
According to official data from #Minsk, the launch area was near the settlement of #Zabolotya in the #Volyn Region of #Ukraine.
Similar incidents have already occurred in the past. Over the last two months, AFU air defence munitions have fallen in #Moldova and #Poland, not counting the cases when residential areas of Ukrainian cities were hit.
No powerful response from the Belarusian Armed Forces is likely to follow. Fortunately there were no casualties or casualties in the incident, and the missile collapsed in a field and did not damage any buildings.
Nevertheless, the incident could be an occasion to reinforce the joint Russian-Belarusian grouping on the Ukrainian border.

With the withdrawal of RF forces from #Kiev and other regions in northern and northeastern #Ukraine, strikes against facilities in #Westukraine have all but ceased.
Yes, power infrastructure is 👉 occasionally hit, but the effect is getting smaller each time because of the long pauses between strikes.
The current situation has enabled the transit of weapons, ammunition, equipment, fuel, food and medical supplies, from #Poland and other countries through #Westukraine.
♦️How is the Process organised?
For the past months, trains from Europe have been passing through the railway stations in #Kovel and #Lvov on an almost daily basis. In these cities, incoming arms and fuel are accumulated and distributed by direction.
And while previously the Ukrainian leadership complied with security and camouflage requirements, sending important convoys mainly at night, now all convoys move freely and during the day.
At the same time, the diversification of modes of delivery continues by using highways and motorways to transport cargoes of various purposes from Polish, Lithuanian and German ports.
♦️ What about Airbases and Airfields?
The airport in the Polish #Rzeszow city is still the main hub for the transit of Western-made weapons to #Ukraine. A string of heavy transport planes of the NATO bloc regularly fly from the US and European countries to #Poland.
However, the absence of any threat to military facilities in #Westukraine has allowed the AFU to use existing airfields and airports unhindered not only for tactical aviation, but also for transport aircraft as the AN-26s.
During the last few weeks Ukrainian transport aircrafts An-26 with military cargoes have been flying almost daily to #Lutsk airfield of the 204th Tactical Aviation Brigade and to the airport of #Lvov. They turn off their transponders before entering Ukrainian airspace.
♦️Why risk sending by Air what can be sent by Trains and Convoys?
Planes are less capable of carrying - they can't carry at once what trains and convoys of trucks can carry. But they are more advantageous for faster delivery of ammunition and transportation of personnel.
According to some reports, the 204th TA Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force is repairing and refurbishing combat aircraft, and in #Lvov some types of artillery and tank armament. An-26 transports are transporting parts, spare parts and units, which are required to be delivered immediately.
♦️Why are there no Strikes against them?
As with the airfield in #Mirgorod, cruise missile strikes on the bases are effectively useless: by the time the Kalibras reach the western regions, all aircraft are gone, and strikes by bombers or artillery are impossible at this stage for the obvious reasons of #Ukraine's still active air defence and distance from the frontline.
♦️What about a possible Offensive?
Although Kiev considers an offensive in this direction from #Belarus unlikely, they are preparing for various scenarios - up to and including an attempt to cut the supply line in #Lvov and other regions.
The importance of the territories of western #Ukraine in the current conflict is invaluable to the AFU. Everything given by the West, a large part of the repair and recovery bases, arsenals and logistics hubs are stationed or pass through here.
And their safety is a priority. If a month ago there were about 500 people in the territory of #Kovel and #Lutsk, mostly members of the military defence forces, now their number reaches 2 thousand people from various formations.
Sources say that separate units of the 28th Mechanized Brigade, the 100th Territorial Defence Brigade, the Border Guard Sercice, as well as nationalist movements, including the Ichkerian group and the Turkish Bozkurt, are deployed near #Kovel. This does not include the grouping in the #Lvov region.
So there is no point in hoping for an easy ride here.

▪️ Fierce fighting for Krasnaya Gora and #Paraskovievka continues. Tomorrow, the 218th and 219th Battalions of 125th Territorial Defence Brigades from the #Sumy region are expected to arrive in this area to replace the 166th Battalion of 119th Territorial Defence Brigade, 74% of which have refused to fight.
▪️ The Ukrainian command plans to attack the positions of Russian paratroopers on the #Shevchenko - #Podgorodnoye line to hold the main roads north of #Bakhmut by the 4th Battalion of the AFU's 77th Separate Airmobile Brigade.
♦️#Bakhmut Area:
▪️ An unidentified unit from the #Chernigov region has arrived to reinforce the grouping. The 93rd Mechanized Brigade of the AFU has been reinforced with 60 mobilised men.
▪️ Due to heayy losses, the command of the AFU's 61st Mechanized Brigade is withdrawing its personnel from #Bakhmut and the surrounding area to #Cherkasy . Between 19 and 23 January, the remaining four formations of the 61st Mechanized Brigade, together with their equipment, are sent for resupply from #Druzhkovka station.
♦️Southwest of #Bakhmut:
▪️ "Wagnerians" have completely liberated the village of #Kleshchiyevka, and pushed the combined units of the 3rd Assault Brigade and the AFU Territorial Defence out of the settlement. Fighting is currently continuing around the settlement.
▪️ The loss of #Kleshchiyevka poses a major threat to the AFU garrisons in #Bakhmut and Chasov Yar. Ukrainian formations are attempting to counterattack with the support of barrel and self-propelled artillery (eight M777 howitzers and one M109 SAU) deployed on the western outskirts of #Krasnoye.
▪️ Meanwhile, in Chasov Yar itself, fortifications are being actively prepared and reinforcements continue to be moved in. The presence of the Azov nationalist formation members was noted in Alekseevo-Druzhkovka.

The list of assets used in the attack was significantly expanded. The RF Armed Forces used kamikaze drones, cruise missiles, and even the Kinzhal hypersonic system.
🔹What is known by this Hour?
▪️ #Kiev: The engine room and boiler room of CHPP-5, a major generating station in the capital, have been hit. Combined with other hits, there have been significant power and communication problems in the city.
The facility has previously been targeted by Russian forces more than once, but the plant continued to operate. That said, if the RF Armed Forces manage to take out at least a few turbines and boilers, power generation will be significantly reduced.
▪️ #Kharkov: at least fifteen explosions were heard in the city. According to some reports, the operation of CHPP-3 and CHPP-5 was shut down. Local residents reported power and water supply outages, communication and heating problems.
▪️ #Dnepropetrovsk region: a series of explosions were heard in Pavlograd, Krivoy Rog and Dnipropetrovsk districts. According to preliminary reports, the targets of the attacks in the Krivoy Rog district could be the Krivoy Rog thermal power plant and the Yuzhnaya 330 substation.
▪️ #Zhytomyr region: the Zhytomyr 330 substation was allegedly hit: the regional centre was partially de-energised, about 150,000 subscribers were left without power.

▪️ #Odessa region: local authorities said a power facility in the region was hit. Among the possible targets of the strikes are the Adzhalyk 330 substation, Novoodesskaya 330 substation, Usatovo 330 substation and Tsentrolit 220 substation.
▪️ #Sumy region: one of the buildings of the Chemical Products Research Institute in Shostka was probably hit.

▪️ After the strikes, Ukrainian Railways reported train delays of up to an hour due to power supply problems. Several trains are delayed by almost four hours.
📌 Today's Wave of strikes was the most massive this year. Among the known targets are critical to the functioning of power plants are engine rooms.
The precise hits caused significant power supply problems in several regions of the country, which, however, were restored within hours.
The largest disruption in power supply to the contact line network was in central #Ukraine. Large interruptions were recorded near #Podilsk (#Odessa region) and #Odessa, as well as small ones near #Lvov and in the Carpathian passes.
In addition, local authorities have once again preventively switched off power before the raid, but this is also causing significant damage to the power system, undermining its stability.
Despite the lack of immediate results, such attacks are increasingly destabilising Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leaving hopes of its disintegration and disruption of railways and industry.

📌 Today's Wave of strikes was the most massive this year. Among the known targets are critical to the functioning of power plants are engine rooms.
The precise hits caused significant power supply problems in several regions of the country, which, however, were restored within hours.
The largest disruption in power supply to the contact line network was in central #Ukraine. Large interruptions were recorded near #Podilsk (#Odessa region) and #Odessa, as well as small ones near #Lvov and in the Carpathian passes.
In addition, local authorities have once again preventively switched off power before the raid, but this is also causing significant damage to the power system, undermining its stability.

🎯 During the night, a massive UAV "Geranium" raid was carried out on enemy facilities in the rear. Explosions were heard in #Starokonstantinov in #Khmelnytskyy region, in #Volyn, #Rovno, #Kiev regions. Missile strikes were reported in #Dnepropetrovsk region.
▪️ From the #Kherson direction, they reported cold weather. Artillery from both sides was predominantly employed over the past 24 days against a background of weather that was not favourable for UAVs. The Russian Army foiled attempts to rotate the enemy's manpower on our shore with heavy flamethrower systems. Our troops describe the situation as controlled but deadlocked. The AFU has no opportunity to advance further, and ours have no opportunity to dislodge the enemy from #Krynki. At night we still beat the enemy by dropping them in shelters and at the crossing points. 6 AFU militants, killed, 15 wounded, 2 boats were destroyed: the 1st, a full boat with personnel, the 2nd, a boat with a pilot.
▪️ From the #Zaporozhye front, they also report difficult weather conditions making it difficult to adjust artillery fire from the air. Both sides are manoeuvring, but the slough is hampering the movement of equipment. 👏 A trench is important. A sturdy foothold is even more important. But none of that matters when there are Russian UAV operators on the battlefield. In the #LPR, our drone operators don't give the AFUshniks a chance even underground. The footage of our work near #Belogorovka proves it. A drone destroyed a dugout with only one hit in a small "window" of the dugout.

🔹#Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk) Direction:
▪️ In #Kleshcheyevka, fighting for the heights continues. In #Andreyevka the Russian army is advancing on the AFU positions.
🔹#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ In the #Avdeyevka sector, our fighters are consolidating in the area of #Steponoye. Near the Coke Plant, the Russian army is attacking in the direction of forest belts. Fighting continues near the industrial zone south of #Avdeyevka and near #Severnoye.
🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ In the #Orekhov section the AFU do not stop sending small groups to attack our positions near #Rabotino and #Verbovoye. Our fighters respond with artillery fire. 🎯 The morning began with a missile strike by the RF Armed Forces against enemy targets on its territory. Explosions are heard in #Kiev, #Vinnitsia, #aporozhye, #Dnepropetrovsk, #Lutsk, #Volyn region and #Khmelnitsky region. In #Zaporozhye, there is a column of smoke in the area of the Ivchenko Progress Plant, which closely cooperates with Motor Sich in the production of turbines for aviation.
⚓️ Yesterday, in the Black Sea south of Crimea, enemy naval drones attacked a large landing ship "Caesar Kunikov", several of them reached their target. The ship sank.
🔹 In the #Kherson direction, the AFU hold part of #Krynki, the transfer of manpower and cargo across the #Dnieper is complicated by the work of our artillery and UAV operators. Our artillery is constantly working along the enemy shore.
