A couple of days ago, the Operational Command "South" of the AFU announced the introduction of restrictions on the activities of media personnel in the command's area of responsibility in #Odessa, #Nikolayev, #Kherson and #Dnepropetrovsk regions.
Under the new requirements, journalists and reporters have been assigned three zones: a "red" zone where media presence is strictly forbidden, a "yellow" zone where media personnel are allowed to work in the presence of a specially authorised officer and a "green" zone with no restrictions.
🔹Why is this done?
The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly tried to restrict the work of foreign media, especially in the area of hostilities or within the radius of possible missile and drone strikes. Ukrainian propaganda is fundamentally based on falsified data and disinformation.
The presence of staff from Western news agencies - or rather media not under the control of the Ukrainian authorities - is a big problem for Ukrainian infobots. Western journalists could easily publish something that would completely smash propaganda built on lies.
🔹Which areas have been restricted for media work?
🔴 "Red Zone":
Entirely banned from visiting military bases, firing ranges, ports and airfields, as well as other critical infrastructure. Also, journalists are not allowed to work in areas bordering #Transnistria.
In #Nikolayev and #Kherson regions, reporters are not allowed to work in #Pravdino, Posad-Pokrovskoye, #Kiselevka, #Novopetrovka, #Lyubomirovka, #Snigirevka, Davydov Brod, Belaya Krinitsa and #Vysokopolye. In these localities, training activities for the mobilized are taking place, among other things.
Media workers are also prohibited from approaching the banks of the #Dnieper-Bug estuary, the #Ingulets River and the #Kakhovka Reservoir, where SRGs operate on boats, and there is active training of assault groups on forcing water obstacles.
🟡 "Yellow Zone":
Accompanied by authorised representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, journalists and reporters are able to work in several settlements in the #Nikolayev and #Dnepropetrovsk regions. Some of them are also equipped with training grounds for the mobilized. Filming along the Black Sea coast is possible with restrictions.
📌 Such Restrictions are perfectly logical in wartime conditions, so the measures taken by the Ukrainian authorities are not surprising. However, the creation of "red zones" is a double-edged sword, as it directly points out important positions and facilities to watch out for.
Since members of the media are banned from going there, it means that there is something of interest in the area, something that ordinary citizens should not see, much less be leaked to the media.
The Alibey Nature Reserve south of #Odessa on the Black Sea coast is partially included in the red zone. Near the conservation area there is a testing ground of "Tuzla", where the "Grom-2" missile defence system is tested). At present four missile launchers are deployed near #Tuzla.
In addition, the activities of journalists near the border with #Transnistria are completely banned. This is due to the concentration of several hundred people and dozens of weapons near the PMR, which is constantly denied by Kiev. There are also dozens of foreign mercenaries operating in the border villages.
And the establishment of the "red zone" along the #Kakhovka reservoir, the #Dnieper and the Dnieper-Bug estuary is mostly related to preparations for an AFU counterattack and the probable forcing (https://t.me/rybar/44982) of the water barrier to divert the attention of Russian troops from the main strike.

The objective of the initial strike from the right bank of the #Dnieper is to divert the attention of the RF Armed Forces by using the length of the river to their advantage.
📌 In the Long Term, AFU units intend to entrench themselves in one section of the #Dnieper basin and use the bridgehead to develop a simultaneous attack on #Crimea from #Kherson and #Orekhov in #Zaporozhye region.
The most likely sites are the #Kinburn Peninsula, #Kherson and Nova Kakhovka because of convenient terrain for both manpower and equipment. That is where the engineers of the 808th Pontoon Bridge Regiment are stationed.

🗓 On Wednesday we briefly mentioned a successful operation against AFU air defences. And then yesterday footage emerged of exact Lancet hits against AFU antiaircraft systems.
All targets were near #Promin village in #Nikolayev region. Apparently Russian UAV operators "caught" the division as it was deploying into positions.
▪️ The 1st launcher (PU) of the S-300 complex was completely destroyed by an explosion. The 2nd PU was damaged by shrapnel and the arrival of another drone, which hit the head end of the missile guidance system container.

➖In #Zaporozhye direction, the Lancet hit an AFU Tor SAM.

By 06:00 a.m. most of the air raids had been cancelled, but rips had begun in #Snigirevka, #Nikolayev region, which is used as a logistics point for AFU transfer to the #Kherson direction.
▪️ In the #Avdeyevka sector, the RF Armed Forces stormed #Pervomayskoye, taking positions in the south of the settlement.
➖ In #Maryinka, fighting continues on the western outskirts.
🔵 The AFU used HIMARS MLRS in the east of the #Zaporozhye front on our near rear. At night one of the strikes hit civilians in frontline villages, there are fatalities. Bringing the barrel artillery to the line of contact. 🗓 On the night of 4 September, units of the Ukrainian GUR and Forces of Special Operation once again attempted to land near Cape #Tarkhankut in #Crimea. Only unlike previous attacks, the SRGs slightly changed their route. Five boats with personnel left from the area of #Zatoka instead of #Vilkovo.
🔹 By midnight, the enemy reconnaissance teams had passed by the Golitsynskaya Gas Production Plant and headed towards the peninsula. At that moment, a Tekever UAV from #Snigirevka was already operating south of #Tarkhankut, providing guidance and escort for Willard-type boats.
▪️ The units of the 31st Division of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Russian Army first shot down the Portuguese-made drone with a Pantsir missile defense system, leaving the Ukrainian SRG of the GUR without eyes, and then the aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet naval aviation were lifted into the air.
▪️ The Ukrainian boats turned round and moved back towards #Zatoka. The first three boats were detected by a Su-24M bomber 43 km northwest of Tarkhankut, where four RBK-500 cluster bombs were dropped on them. The boats sank with the people on board.
▪️ The fourth was at that moment west of the gas-producing situation. A Russian Su-30SM aircraft dropped two RBK-500 bombs on it. The fifth boat managed to reach the Ukrainian coast and return to #Zatoka.
💬 As we said 👉 earlier, the Ukrainian authorities will continue PR sorties to the peninsula, despite the suicidal nature of such actions. The successful attack on the S-300 air defence systems and the landing at #Olenevka seemed to be beneficial for the AFU command in terms of information, so no one is going to reckon with the losses.
❗️Russian seamen and air defence units were able to detect and destroy the threat even before approaching #Crimea without the slightest problem. The level of Russian servicemen has multiplied over the 1 1/2 years of the SMO.
📌 And yes, such a sortie on the day of negotiations on the grain deal shows quite clearly that it is definitely not worth negotiating any kind of settlement in the Black Sea with the Ukrainian side.

🎯 A few hours ago, the enemy's rear was hit with rocket fire and the Geran UAV. Explosions were heard in #Snigirevka (a logistics hub in the rear of the #Kherson direction) and the #Odessa region's #Danube towns of #Reni and #Izmail.
▪️ On the outskirts of #Avdeyevka, the AFU tried to counterattack near Kolosova Street. The enemy's positions in the cottage village of #Vinograndniki are under constant fire. The enemy has withdrawn to the outskirts of this development, heavy fighting is going on.
▪️ After the success in #Maryinka, the RF Armed Forces are developing an offensive in the area of the #Pobeda settlement to the south. There are reports that Ukrainian servicemen are sabotaging orders for counterattacks.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front, another attack by AFU infantry near #Verbovoye was repelled, the enemy tried to advance on our positions, striking with cluster munitions. They report about the advance of our troops near #Rabotino. Our aviation worked, destroying accumulations of enemy forces with FAB-500.

In #Belgorod region continues shelling of border areas, the governor reported the use of 5 UAV drops by the AFU in Belgorod district. Near the farm Vysoky a car with civilians exploded on a mine, three people were wounded. The enemy intensified shelling of civilians in the #DPR, firing 135 shells. A civilian was killed in #Donetsk and seven civilians were injured as a result of UAV drops.

🎯 At nightfall, the Gerani UAVs, which were recorded at the #Starokonstantinov airfield in the #Khmelnitsky region, worked on enemy targets. Powerful explosions sounded in the AFU logistics hub in the #Kherson direction, in #Snigirevka, as well as in #Pavlograd, #Dnepropetrovsk region. Missile attacks were carried out on the #Kharkov region.
▪️ In the #Kherson direction, as a result of heavy bloody fighting, our fighters installed the Russian flag in #Krynki. Nevertheless, the enemy holds part of the village, conducts artillery fire and strikes with drones. “It’s hell in Krynki,” experienced fighters from the direction write.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front, the RF Armed Forces occupied several enemy strongholds near the settlement of #Pyatikhatki. The enemy's counterattacks were repelled at #Verbovoye, our aviation continues to work with high-explosive bombs on enemy clusters near #Orekhov.
▪️ In the #SouthDonets direction (south of #Maryinka), there are battles at #Novomikhaylovka. The RF Armed Forces bypasses the settlement from the south, advancing with battles through forest plantations. In the direction of #Kurakhovo, our units are moving through #Georgiyevka, while they are also operating on the eastern outskirts of the village.
▪️ The #Avdeyevka sector and the front section west of #Artyomovsk have not undergone significant changes. The RF Armed Forces retain the initiative and strike, trying to move forward.
▪️ #Belogorovka (13 km south of #Kremennaya) becomes the new direction of the Russian offensive. 🔹In #Kherson Direction, the AFU command continues attempts to move more manpower and weapons to the left bank by boats with homemade ice protection. Heavy fighting continues in #Krynki. There is information from #Nikolayev that columns of AFU equipment are being sent to #Snigirevka, and new Ukrainian units are being formed in #Nikolayev.
🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, our aviation is most active and strikes with guided bombs, including on the #Rabotino - #Verbovoye line. The AFU periodically tries to break through to our positions in small groups and short runs, unsuccessfully.
🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, the advance of our forces from #Marinka is complicated by the AFU entrenched in #Georgiyevka. From the south of #Maryinka ours are attacking towards #Pobeda. South of #Pervomayskoye, our forces have established firm control over positions and are moving on. The enemy claims that we managed to break through to their rear at the Tsarskaya Okhota fortified area thanks to a pipe discovered by ours from the Yasinovatskaya junction. It is difficult to imagine how about 150 fighters crawled 2 km in a pipe with a diameter of about 0.8 m with equipment, weapons and armor. The wit and strength of the Russian soldier!
🔹In #Bakhmut Direction, our army continues attacks on the heights in the north and northwest of #Kleshcheyevka. In #Bogdanovka, our fighters are holding on in the centre of the village.

The fighting at the #Rabotino - #Novoprokopovka - #Verbovoye line is heavy, the positions are destroyed, there is no hiding. The nearest goal is to reach the "dragon's teeth", their line is approximately in the middle of the ledge.
