This is good for everyone involved. These companies (Apple & Google) have been consolidating power since the early 2010s. The number of hops and restrictions to publish and app these days is mind boggling 😡

Rafa Retired 💔

I am a HUGE Rafa fan. 

I remember watching him play early on with Nabadion in Rome. He was tenacious & never gave up.

Many people were skeptical about his longevity given his aggressive style of play. He managed to win 22 grand slams and 14 Ronald Garros titles. The latter is a record that is unlikely to be broken soon. 

Played for 20 years. That's a dream for most players. We got to see epic matches.

I really like the liquid and illiquid analogy applied to human talent/capital. I am a big believer in illiquid carrier paths. For example ,if you are a front end developer, most employers know who you are without interviewing you. The interview is just to compare you with others. It's predictable and definitely susceptible to to AI related disruptions. Hence, illiquid skills become important as you go higher on your career path

As perfectly described in the "stacked" model, some of these illiquid skills might not make sense individually but makes up a perfect offering combined.

While illiquid opportunities are tougher to advertise, their return can be huge. I personally prefer to bet on these kinds of skills & their return has been generous 😁
