Our last release this year 🥲 is Mira Mann's "People Have The Power". Listen here on your favorite platform. 🌞

It's the next song from a new series, in which Mira brings hits from the 80s and 90s into the present, reflects herself, her time in them and documents what comes back.

For the third part, Mira chooses Patti Smith's "People Have The Power" as the starting point for an expressive and eccentric collaboration with Mona Steinwidder aka Museum Of No Art: In their joint piece of music, they examine the functioning of ideas and thoughts over time. In the dense web of Mona's clarinet loops, Mira is able to venture far beyond her comfort zone and yet still move with confidence. She searches through and collects notes from recent years and allows them to come together to form her own narrative.

Hello! Happy Friday! 🤗 Here's our first release of the new year: A new beautiful song by Odd Beholder. Choose the platform you mistrust the least & listen to "Like A Chore" here.

The flowing electronica track follows the perspective of a person who is trying to be there for their child while also having to work. The song tells of the difficulty of not being able to explain to the child why they have to get dressed right away, for example, or why there is no time for their joys and fears. They have no concept of the adult world yet and experience their parents' practical, necessary decisions as rejection. 😢

And yes, the rumors are true: There's a new – the 4th – Odd Beholder album coming in May. You can preorder "Honest Work" now via this link. Omg!

There's also shows coming up this year, all dates and tickets are carefully lined up under this link.

A new song by Mildfire! The Berlin/Oslo-based collective releases "Trampoline" today. Listen here! 🦄

The song was born in Riga, in the middle of winter. Grey streets, low sun, long conversations and a studio filled with light. Mildfire travelled to Latvia to work with local rising stars Fiņķis and Andis Ansons (Bel Tempo), and quickly found a rare kind of chemistry. Between sessions they were shown the city’s best cafés, danced folk dances at night, and jammed with local folk musicians. Conversations drifted naturally toward music, ambition and the strange similarities between Nordic countries like Norway and Latvia.

"Trampoline" is the first taste of Mildfire’s next chapter. A new EP, and a full album planned for 2026, featuring further international collaborations. Rooted in Nordic atmosphere but shaped by constant movement, Mildfire continues to expand its universe, one leap at a time.

It's 10 years today since we released "Love Is A Fridge" by Me And My Drummer 🥲🥂

It's the second of two albums we had together with the band, the second of two extraordinary chapters of our own history, and basically one of the label's milestones.

We've learned a lot with each other. We've learned a lot about each other. And we've walked a pretty long way together. Thank you very much, Charlotte and Matze, for that amazing journey!

May all them crazy comets spin around their own axis for good 💞

We have a few copies left of LP and CD, just head to our shop and grab this electro-pop gem if you don't own it already.

Listen digitally here. Get the double-LP on white vinyl in a gatefold cover or the CD here.

Vienna-based musician and performance artist Mira Mann releases "Schwester" today. Listen to here.

It's the next song from a series, in which Mira brings hits from the 80s and 90s into the present, reflects herself, her time in them and documents what comes back.

For the fourth part Mira is collaborating with musician, singer and producer Cornelia Pazmandi. With her experimental art pop project Tiger Tiger, Pazmandi works on the close interplay of voice, composition, and production in fine electronic textures and fragmentary structures.

"Schwester" is inspired by Hole's "Good Sister, Bad Sister" and a relentless examination of sisterhood, support, hurt, empowerment, sexual violence, healing, and care. Above a flickering tangle of voices and (apparent natural) sounds, the voice negotiates the struggle between one's own desires and external influences that either fulfill or block them.

Finally „Internet Famous“! What musician wouldn’t want to go viral? 🪩🤳🏻💎 Odd Beholder’s new single kicks off with a busy signal on the phone and launches straight into an electro-glam track in the vein of MGMT. Maybe this time fame will finally work out?

The song tells of the infrastructures of fame and reach. It deals with the neo-colonialism exercised by large digital monopolies (Google, Meta, Apple, Amazon, you name it).

Listen to „Internet Famous“ here.

Loupe just released a renewed version of the French-language track "On Dit Quoi". The song originally appears on the album "Oh To Be Home", but now returns in a completely new form, reimagined by producer Jan Kooper.

Listen to Loupe's "On Dit Quoi (Alternate Version)" here!

Jan Kooper (1962) is a Dutch saxophonist, composer, and producer who has played a prominent role in the Dutch music scene for decades. This collaboration also carries a personal dimension: Jan Kooper is the father of Lana Kooper, Loupe’s bassist. In addition, Souleymane Ouattara, the father of singer Nina Ouattara, appears as a guest musician, playing the djembe on "On Dit Quoi". 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦

New Odd Beholder song "Focus Disease" is out now! Listen here on your favourite platform.

"Please, Doctor, I want to be able to work in peace instead of having to think," pleads the protagonist in the song "Focus Disease"; she wants an ADHD diagnosis, wants to stop dreaming, to function, to obey. Constantly monitored and forcedly entertained, someone here is trying to buy back their attention with the help of medication, would rather be declared mad than keep scrolling – where is the handle, the button, the way off this merry-go-round of the attention economy? And how does that trick work that makes it bearable to endure the multiple crises of present time, and the cynicism of the status quo? Perhaps an answer can be found at the pharmacy.

Avantgarde pop trio Painting gives AI a human voice on their recent album "Snapshot Of Pure Attention", and lets other artists speak now through a new series of remixes.

The third collaboration features EERA, the project of Berlin-based Norwegian artist Anna Lena Bruland. As for her approch, EERA explains: "I was drawn by to this song because of the repetitive vocal lines and words. I wanted the vocals to be the main focus. I stripped it all back and used the rhythm of the voices to create the whole track."

Listen to Painting – "Momento (Eera Version)" here.

Finally! Odd Beholder's new album "Honest Work" is out now! 👩‍💼💼🏋️ Listen & get the vinyl here.

"Honest Work" is dedicated to the stories of working people. In ten tracks, Daniela Weinmann condenses the impositions of modern working life and reflects on a society in which closeness, privacy and authenticity are commodified. The album tells of frustration with unfair working conditions, ecological crises and emotional loneliness. It tells of exhaustion, anger and pressure, and of the lives of those who try to find their way in it and not lose their dignity – and who are likely to fail.

💿 LP comes on recycled black 140g vinyl in a black deluxe poly-lined inner sleeve. Includes folded A2 poster with lyrics. Get it here.

Vienna-based musician and performance artist Mira Mann releases "Touch Me I'm Sick" today. Listen to it here.

It's the next song from a series, in which Mira brings hits from the 80s and 90s into the present, reflects herself, her time in them and documents what comes back.

For the 5th part of the series, Mira is collaborating with TSOUNGUI. Philo Tsoungui is one of the most distinctive voices of a new generation of drummers, producers and composers. As TSOUNGUI, she works as a producer and demonstrates her unique, cross-genre approach to sound, performance and production.

"Touch Me I’m Sick", inspired by Mudhoney’s song of the same name, is the first track to emerge from this collaboration. The song is also part of the current exhibition at Lothringer 13 in Munich, in which Mira focuses on illness, disability and artistic practice.
