📌 As part of the Second Armenia–Georgia Expert Forum held on June 18–20, a roundtable discussion was convened that offered a multifaceted exploration of key societal aspects shaping bilateral relations between Armenia and Georgia.

The roundtable discussion participants included Samvel Manukyan, Senior Research Fellow at the Orbeli Research Center; Paata Tsagareishvili, Director of the Transport Corridor Research Center; Giorgi Udzilauri, Director of the European Choice for Georgia NGO; Harutyun Khudanyan, Researcher at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia; Archil Sikharulidze, Senior Research Fellow of the SIKHA Foundation; Babken Ghazaryan, Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Center for Georgian Studies of YSU; Samvel Meliqsetyan, Associate expert of the Research Center on Security Policy; Giorgi Gvimradze, Head of the Analytical Service of the Georgian Public Broadcaster. 🇺🇸 Американская «демократия» сбросила Мадуро, а европейские коллеги уже назвали его диктатором. Как бы оправдать это с точки зрения «международного права»? «Либеральный интервенционизм», о котором я пишу в статье про Грузию. К счастью, так просто прилететь к нам американцы и европейцы не могут. Но могут другие! А первые пока активно финансируют местные протесты и насилие — во имя демократии и европейской интеграции. 🤔

🇺🇸 U.S. “democracy” has overthrown Maduro, while European counterparts have already labeled him a dictator. How to justify from the perspective of “international law.” Of course, “liberal interventionism,” which I discuss in my article on Georgia, comes to mind. Fortunately, a direct intervention by the United States or European actors is not so easily feasible in our case. However, other actors may be able to intervene. In the meantime, the former are actively financing local protests and violence—ostensibly in the name of democracy and European integration. 🤔
