The claim that nuclear costs $600bn extrapolates the cost of the most expensive nuclear plant and doubling it.

It assumes nuclear costs 5x more than even the CSIRO’s prediction.

It’s from the ‘Smart’ Energy Council which is funded by organisations with alleged links to slavery.

Yes, Australia is the only Top 20 economy ignoring nuclear.

In addition to the countries using it currently…
-Germany imports nuclear power from France & is considering restarts
-Indonesia, Italy & Saudi Arabia are signed up to nuclear
-Turkey is building a nuclear plant

FACTCHECK: The $600bn figure is a lie.

It’s based on extrapolating the cost of the most expensive nuclear power plant ever and doubling it.

That assumes nuclear will cost 5x more than even the CSIRO’s prediction.

The nuclear fear campaign must stop.

Nuclear is illegal.

Renewables are heavily subsidised.

The private sector didn’t decide to ignore nuclear and go to 100% renewables, ideological politicians did.

FACTCHECK: Small Modular Reactors do exist.

There are 3 small modular reactors in operation today in China & Russia with 80+ designs for SMRs currently in development.

We should be embracing new technologies, not running away from them.
Last night the PM gaslit people into thinking Keir Starmer regrets using nuclear power.

This is what Keir has actually said:
“We're firing up nuclear power to drive growth, jobs and more affordable energy - putting money back in your pocket”
Also what’s the source for the 20 year claim?

How do they say this with a straight face?

The $600bn nuclear figure extrapolates the cost of the most expensive nuclear power plant ever and doubles it.

It even contradicts their own source at the CSIRO which assumes nuclear costs 5x less.

Why would
@DoctorKarl
offer his support to an organisation which is funded by companies with alleged links to slavery and a history of disinformation on nuclear power making up numbers like $600bn and 4% of the grid…

According to reports today ‘Liberals for Nuclear’ isn’t actually a grassroots campaign and its director isn’t even a Liberal.

It now looks like an anti nuclear astroturf group for billionaire Mike Cannon-Brooks.
“A vote for Russell Broadeent is a vote for three eyed fish”

This organisation, ‘It’s not a race’, has previously received ~$600,000 from Climate 200.

is often quick to say he’s not anti nuclear. This suggests otherwise…
$400,000 and they still can’t do basic maths.

These guys are behind $600bn, 4% etc
$600BN LIE
Comes from extrapolating the cost of the most expensive nuclear plant ever and doubling it.

4% LIE
Comes from dividing capacity and ignoring generation. 1GW of nuclear capacity generates roughly 3x more than 1GW of renewables.

The $600bn figure is based on a lie.

It extrapolates the cost of the most expensive nuclear power plant ever and doubles it.

Yet it’s repeated daily by the Prime Minister down and in hundreds of ads.

It has deserved a fact check for a long time 👇
Nuclear is illegal in Australia.

Why would businesses line up to invest in something that is currently banned?
