HOSPITAL WHISTLEBLOWER: Elderly Patients Threatened with $3,500/Day Bills

A hospital emergency room worker has come forward exposing a disturbing new policy. She says staff are now required to give elderly patients a paper stating they could be charged $3,500 per day if their insurance doesn’t cover their hospital stay. This includes cases where patients are waiting to be transferred to nursing homes or physical therapy.
