It's International Women's Day! We're casting the spotlight on just a few of the women whose work at the Singapore Red Cross makes an impact in unique and powerful ways.
Florence is part of our Community Engagement team, serving vulnerable older persons in the East of Singapore. Her days may involve anything from scheduling home visits and making follow-up calls to organising outings, coordinating pickups, or designing engaging programmes — she does it all to enrich the lives of our seniors. They, in turn, brighten her days as well — she reflects, "I am moved by the moments when they share their past experiences and how our interactions brighten their days, reminding me that every effort counts."

In response to the escalating hostilities in Gaza that erupted on 18 March 2025, the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) is intensifying its humanitarian support by committing an additional SGD400,000 towards emergency health services, primary healthcare, mental health support and relief efforts, as well as the operations of a 60-bed field hospital in Rafah. SRC will also deploy an operations coordinator to Cairo, Egypt to facilitate relief operations on the ground.
