In 2019, the Singapore Red Cross began our journey of reaching out to children from challenging circumstances through tuition, enrichment, and mentorship.

Today, the programme continues to operate at a cosy centre in Yishun. On top of being a conducive place for learning, the centre also acts as a safe haven for those under our care.

📢 [West Java Earthquake Response]

In response to the aftermath caused by the 5.6 magnitude earthquake in West Java, #Indonesia, the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) is committing US$50,000 to support survivors and the affected communities. The contribution will prioritise the immediate needs of those affected by the earthquake, including food; emergency shelter; water and sanitation solutions; hygiene items and first aid.

📢 [West Java Earthquake Response] The Singapore Red Cross has launched a public fundraising appeal for humanitarian response to communities affected by the West Java earthquake. Funds raised will support the provision of food, medical relief and emergency shelter. These efforts are on the back of SRC’s initial pledge of US$50,000 on 23 November.

SRC has also activated its “Restoring Family Links” (RFL) service to assist Singapore residents to locate their immediate family members who may have been affected by the disaster with whom they have difficulty in contacting. For assistance, please contact SRC (rfl@redcross.sg).
