Police warn of new scam linked to mooncake sales; at least 27 lose S$325,000 in a few weeks
The victims would be tricked into buying mooncakes through social messaging platforms, and subsequently directed to install malicious apps onto their phones, allowing the scammers to steal passwords and retrieve their banking credentials for unauthorised transactions.

Warning - Facebook Group Scam - Scammers are using fake accounts to make post like this in various Facebook Groups in Singapore. One tell tale sign is the comments are always turned off. A job posting you've applied to or a recruiter contacts you and accedes to the salary you request. They schedule a call for a time you are most likely to be alone.
The interview link comes 8 minutes before your meeting.
The link is not a Zoom, Teams, or WebEx. Instead, you have to install the software quickly before the meeting starts, giving you no time to think carefully. The app is malicious. Do not install.
Please help to inform your friends who are actively looking for jobs not to fall for the scam.

SCDF is conducting island-wide testing for the SG Alert mass emergency alert system.
All Singtel users with phones that are running on the latest Apple or Google Android operating system (iOS 26.4 or OS 12, with the latest Google Play system update) will receive the SG Alert message. The alert will appear as a pop-up notification with the header ‘SG Alert’, accompanied by an alert tone and vibration pattern — bypassing devices’ “Do Not Disturb” or silent mode settings.
Please do not be alarmed.
