The recent Guardian exposé on the continued sexual violence against women in Tigray paints a harrowing picture of how conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) persists long after the official end of war. Survivors are still grappling with deep physical and psychological trauma many were subjected to brutal gang rape, mutilation, and long-term health complications. What’s more devastating is the near-total absence of justice. Perpetrators many identified as part of the occupying forces remain unpunished, and independent investigations have been obstructed. The silence surrounding these atrocities continues to retraumatize survivors and normalize impunity.
At Setaweet, we stand in fierce solidarity with the survivors of Tigray. Their stories are not only a call for justice but a demand for collective accountability. We echo the urgent need for survivor-centered healing, legal redress, and community-based support systems. ሰኞ ዕለት በጀመረው የ12ኛ ክፍል ብሔራዊ ፈተና ለመውሰድ ከተለያዩ አካባቢዎች በመምጣት በመቱ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ከተሰባሰቡት ተማሪዎች ላይ ወሲባዊ ትንኮሳ የፈጸሙት ተማሪዎች ጉዳያቸው በኮሚቴ ታይቶ ነው ከፈተናው የተሰናበቱት።
ስለ ጉዳዩ ለቢቢሲ መረጃ የሰጡት የመቱ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዝዳንት ዓለሙ ዲሳሳ (ዶ/ር) "መጀመረያ ላይ ሴቶቹ ተፈታኞች ከወንዶቹ ጋር ይጫወቱ ነበር" ብለዋል።
በሂደት ግን ወንዶቹ "ሴቶቹን አስገድደው ሳሟቸው። መነካት የሌለባቸውን የአካላቸውን ክፍል መንካት ጀመሩ" ብለዋል።
ከዚህ በኋላ አንደኛው "የሴቶቹን ሞራል በነካ መልኩ ልብሳቸውን በመግለብ ገላቸው እንዲታይ በማድረግ ትንኮሳ ፈጸመ" ሲሉ አክለዋል። የዩኒቨርሲቲው ፕሬዝዳንት የተማሪዎቹ ድርጊት ወንጀል መሆኑን ገልፀው፣ ሴት ተማሪዎቹ የደረሰባቸው ትንኮሳ እንዳሳሰባቸው እና "ግቢውን ለቀን እንሄዳለን" ማለታቸውን ተናግረዋል።
ሆኖም ፈተናውን እንዲወስዱ እንዳግባቧቸው አስረድተዋል።
ወንጀሉን ከፈፀሙት ሦስት ወንድ ተማሪዎች መካከል ሁለቱ ከምዕራብ ወለጋ አንዱ ደግሞ ከኢሉ አባቦራ የሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት መልቀቂያ ፈተና ለመፈተን ወደ መቱ ዩኒቨርስቲ የመጡ መሆናቸውንም ዩኒቨርስቲው አስታውቋል።

በጋሞ ዞን ቁጫ ወረዳ የ12 ዓመት ታናሽ እህቱን የደፈረው ተከሳሽ በዛሬው ዕለት በችሎት ቀርቦ ጥፋተኛ ተብሏል።
ተከሳሹ ድርጊቱን ግንቦት 23 ቀን 2017 ዓ.ም እህቱን በማታለል ወደ ጫካ ከወሰደ በኋላ መፈጸሙን የክስ መዝገቡ ያስረዳል።
ተከሳሹ በዐቃቤ ህግ ድርጊቱን ስለመፈጸሙ የቀረበበትን ክስ ሙሉ በሙሉ መፈጸሙን በሰጠው የእምነት ክህደት ቃል በዝርዝር አምኗል።
ጉዳዩን ሲከታተል የቆየው የቁጫ ወረዳ ፍ/ቤት በዛሬው ዕለት በዋለው ችሎት ተከሳሽ በ 15 ዓመት ፅኑ እስራት እንዲቀጣ ወስኗል።

ሁለት አመት ያስቆጠረው የእንስት ዘውዱ ሃፍቱ አሰቃቂ የግድያ ወንጀል ነገ ሀምሌ 4 ቀን 2017 ዓ.ም የመጨረሻ መቋጫ የፍርድ ውሳኔ ያገኝ ይሆን ? ቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ የመቐለ ቤተሰብ የችሎቱን ውሳኔ ተከታትሎ ያቀርባል።

የእድሜ ልክ ፅኑ እስራት ተፈርዶባቸዋል !
በእንስት ዘውዱ ሃፍቱ የጭካኔ የግድያ የተከሰሱት ተጠርጣሪዎች ጥፋተኞች ተብለው የፍርድ ውሳኔ ተላለፈባቸው።
ተከሳሾቹ ለፍርድ ውሳኔ ማቅለያ ይሆነናል በማለት " የቆየ ህመም አለብን " ቢሉም የመቐለ ዓይደር ስፔሻላይዝድ ሪፈራል ሆስፒታል ሃኪሞች የምርመራ ማስረጃ " የቆየ ህመም የለባቸውም " ሲል ምላሽ ሰጥቷል።
የመቐለ ማእላዊ ፍርድ ቤት በእንስት ዘውዱ ሃፍቱ አሰቃቂ ግድያ የመጨረሻ የፍርድ ውሳኔ ውሎ ምን ይመስል ነበር ?
የተጠርጣሪ ጠበቆች ትናንት ሀምሌ 3 " ደምበኞቻችን የቆየ ህመም አለባቸው ይህንን ለማረጋገጥ የህክምና ማስረጃ ለአርብ ሀምሌ 4 እናቀርባለን " ብለው ነበር።
ፍርድ ቤቱ ይህን ተቀብሎ ለዛሬ የመጨረሻ ውሳኔ ለመስጠት ቀነ ቀጠሮ ሰጥቶ ነበር።
ዛሬ አርብ ሀምሌ 4/2017 ዓ.ም ከመንግስት ሰራተኞች የስራ ሰዓት በፊት ቤተሰብ የሚገኙባቸው የሚድያና የሴቶች መብት ተቆርቋሪዎች በፍርድ ቤቱ በራፍ ደርሰው ተሰባስበዋል።
ተከሳሾች ለውሳኔ ማቅለያ ይሆነናል ብለው የጠየቁት የህክምና ማስረጃ የቆየ ህመም እንደሌለባቸው አረጋግጧል።
ዳኞችም ይህን ካረጋገጡ በኋላ በተከሳሾች ላይ ውሳኔ ሰጥተዋል።
አንደኛና ሁለተኛ ተከሳሾች ያሬድ ገብረስላሰ በላይ እና ኣንገሶም ሃይለማርያም በእድሜ ልክ ፅኑ እስራት እንዲቀጡ ፍርድ ቤቱ ወስኗል።
በፍርድ ቤቱ ውሳኔ አለመርካታቸው የገለፁት አስተያየት ሰጪዎች የወንጀል ደርጊቱን ከማጠራት እስከ ምርመራና ውሳኔ ድረስ በችግሮች የተተበተበ እንደነበር በመግለፅ ማረሚያ ቤት የፍርድ ውሳኔውን በጥብቅ እንዲተገብረው ጠይቀዋል።
" የጭካኔ ግድያው የሞት ፍርድ ያሰጥ ነበር " ያሉ ሌሎች አስተያየት ሰጪዎች ደግሞ " የተበዳይ ቤተሰቦች ወደ ቀጣዩ የፍርድ ቤት ይግባኝ ይጠይቁ " ብለዋል።
ከነሀሴ 2015 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ እስከ ሀምሌ 4/2017 ዓ.ም የተጓዘው የእንስት ዘውዱ ሃፍቱ ግድያ በዚሁ ተቋጭቷል ሲል የቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ የመቐለ ቤተሰብ መረጃውን ልኳል።
ቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ መቐለ የእንስቷን ግድያ ከመነሻው እስከ ፍርድ ሂደቱ ሲከታተል ቆይቷል።
