The first trailer for Wicked: For Good doesn’t hold back — darker, more emotional, and finally giving Act II the weight it always lacked on stage. Jon M. Chu clearly listened to the fans and went all in. The bond between Glinda (Ariana Grande, who’s winning over even her skeptics) and Elphaba (Erivo is absolutely magnetic) takes center stage, and everything points to a finale full of heartbreak and redemption.
Visually, it’s a major level-up: nighttime Oz is stunning, and Paul Tazewell’s costumes deserve another Oscar. I’m already “holding space” for For Good — and yes, I’m fully prepared to cry. This is going to be a box office monster.
