To be honest, I felt like giving up yesterday. The campaign slowed down, and I wasn’t sure how we’d reach the goal. But then a friend reminded me why we started this, to give Kalkidan a talented dev building for our community—a chance to grow. Here’s the…
Guys it’s the last stretch. We almost there. Let’s do this 👊

Name Kalkidan

1. Send 100 if you haven’t

2. Tell to one friend to send 100. Make sure they do it.

3. And tell them to do the same by telling another friend.

We will get there really fast if we all did it so let’s all participate guys.

This actually happened today. I told my mom to wake me up at 5 AM, but I changed my plan in the middle of the night and ended up going to bed at 4 AM—just an hour before she was supposed to wake me up. And well... what you see in the video is exactly what happened at 5 AM. 😂😁🤦‍♂

Just built this cool website called Real Time ! You can share your current status with a 60-character text, one image, your name, and avatar. The background even matches your pic’s vibe—or you can tweak it. It also adds a timestamp for easy social media sharing. Thought it’d be cool to share! Go easy on it, though—it’s barely working 😂

Click here to check it (Desctop/PC is recommended for better experience)

Me: You see, JavaScript is single-threaded, but with async/await, it kinda feels like multitasking!

It's been about a week since I finished the project. Now, I'm working on some UI improvements. It's a simple chat app, and I was trying to implement a video call feature using WebRTC—but we'll see how it goes.

My next side project will still focus on WebSockets. I'm planning to build an Excalidraw-like application and make it interactive, allowing two users to collaboratively control everything on the board. They will be able to see changes in real time, similar to Figma's real-time collaboration feature.

I've come to understand the difference between a Build System Orchestrator and Monorepo Frameworks.

A Build System Orchestrator, like Turborepo, focuses on handling multiple build tasks efficiently. It speeds up workflows by using caching and parallel execution, making things run much faster and more smoothly.

On the other hand, Monorepo Frameworks are designed to manage multiple projects within a single repository. Tools like npm and Yarn (for package management) and frameworks like Nx provide features for dependency management, project structuring, and execution strategies across the repo.

So, in a way, Turborepo works as a build orchestrator, enhancing these monorepo tools by adding smarter task execution and caching capabilities to boost overall efficiency.

I'm honestly kinda worried about landing pages these days. It’s getting really hard to figure out what a company actually does just by looking at them—even though that’s supposed to be the whole point. Feels like we’re trading simplicity and functionality for fancy, over-the-top designs.

Take the hero section, for example—half the time, it’s some random phrase that has nothing to do with the company, like ‘pushing the world one step to the highs’ for a web analytics tool... wild 😁. And don’t even get me started on those super flashy, user-unfriendly designs packed with charts and graphs everywhere. wdt??
