Wet vs Dry programmer
#advice

Okay, let's talk about the principle of dry and wet programming . I'm not referring to programming in a shower or a desert😁; I'm talking about an important concept in programming called "Don't Repeat Yourself" (DRY). Whether you're a beginner or have experience in the field, many people struggle to apply DRY.

So, let's define what a dry and wet programmer is. A wet programmer is someone who writes a program multiple times. If you find yourself repeating your code in different parts of your program, that's what we call "wet." On the other hand, a dry programmer is someone who avoids repeating themselves in their code. For projects or programs with lots of repetitive code, you write it once and use it everywhere. This not only saves time but also helps you write more efficient and faster programs.

Don't just focus on coding; becoming a programmer involves more than just writing code. There's a lot to learn beyond programming, and improving our mindset is one of those essential aspects. It's the key to protecting yourself from burnout, avoiding the urge to quit, and continuously improving in programming.

#Advice for Self-Taught Developers

1.Set Clear Goals: Know what you want, like making projects or learning specific things.

2.Start with Basics: Begin with easy programming ideas. It makes learning harder things easier.

3.Work on Real Projects: Practice by doing real projects. It's good for learning and shows employers what you can do.

4.Practice Regularly: Code often to get better. Regular practice helps you remember and understand things.

5.Use Online Help: Check websites like Stack Overflow. If you're stuck, try solving it on your own first before asking for help. If you're just starting to learn a technology, avoid using ChatGPT right away. It helps build your problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding.

#Advice

Please stop doing things just because someone else has done them, especially when choosing programming languages, tech stacks, niches, and projects. Instead, focus on what you love and what drives your passion.

When you do something just because you saw someone else doing it, you lack a personal "why," which can lead to burnout and resentment. If your only reason for doing something is that someone else is doing it, that’s not a sufficient answer.

However, when you work on projects that truly ignite your passion, you are more likely to excel because your curiosity, creativity, dedication, energy, and resilience know no bounds. These qualities are key to persistence and success.

Any tool framework ain better than another when it comes to building actual working products and shipping 'em ..  its about our skill issue that makes us think we can't do something better with it ... u can build so much with what u have ... if u say how do u know that... cuz so many folks out there are building insane stuff with it ... Just don change the tool for the sake of changing .. am sayn this cuz it might make u think ur dumb for not being able to use the tool as u thought u were gonna use at the start.. from what I saw most of the peps who know the in and outs of there tool are the one who blow ur mind building something you'd never imagined it's doable with ur tool .. so stop messing around and strat focusing... Remember the tool, programing language or the framework ain make u smart it's what u do with them... otherwise.. just kidding no otherwise 😁

This quote applies well to developers:

"People overestimate what they can do in a day but underestimate what they can achieve in a year."

Remember, API and SDK aren't the same thing—don’t mix 'em up! 😁😂
