Made Dua’ to Allah by His greatest name
The Prophet (sallAllahu ʿalayhi wa ’aalihi wa sallam) heard a man saying:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنِّي
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّه
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ،
الأَحَدُ، الصَّمَدُ،
الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ ، وَلَمْ يُولَدْ،
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Allahumma inni as-aluka bi anni ash hadu annaka antAllah Laa ilaaha ilaa antal Aḥadus Samadu alladhee lam yalid wa lam yoolad wa lam yakullahu kufuwan Ahad
O Allah, I ask You by virtue of the fact that I testify that You are Allah, none but You has the right to be worshipped. The One, The Self-Sufficient Master whom all creatures have need of. He Who does not beget, nor was He begotten, Who has no equal or anything comparable to Him.
So he (sallAllahu ʿalayhi wa ’aalihi wa sallam) said:
He has asked Allah by His greatest name, which if He is asked by it He gives and if He is supplicated to with it, He responds.
[Reported by Ahmad, 5/349/350, Aboo Dawood translation 1/389, no. 1488 and others and it’s isnaad is Saheeh]

To Allaah, you are valuable.
There was a man of the desert whose name was Zaahir.
Whenever he would visit the Prophet, he’d bring gifts from the desert, and the Prophet would provide for him when he intended to depart.
The Prophet said: Zaahir is our man of the desert, and we are his townspeople.
He was beloved to the Prophet, but he was very ugly due to a physical deformity.
The Prophet came to him one day while he was selling his merchandise, and caught him from behind while Zaahir could not see him.
So Zaahir said: Who is it? Tell me!
Then he turned around and recognized the Prophet so he hugged the Prophet as soon as he recognized him.
So the Prophet said (jokingly to those around them): Who will purchase this slave?
So Zaahir said: O Messenger of Allaah, by Allaah you will find me unsellable.
Then the Prophet said: But to Allaah, you are not unsellable.
Or he said: To Allaah, you are valuable.

Abu ad-Darda (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Should I not inform you of
the best of your deed,
and the purest of them with your Master,
and the highest of them in your ranks,
and what is better for you than spending gold and silver,
and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks, and they strike your necks?”
They said: ‘Of course.’
He (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
“The remembrance of Allah [Most High].”
(Then) Mu’adh bin Jabal (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) said: ‘There is nothing that brings more salvation from the punishment of Allah than the remembrance of Allah.’
[Jami’ at-Tirmidhi 3377]

Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said:
It is essential for one to have some time spent alone where he supplicates to Allah, makes His dhikr, prays, contemplates, reflects on himself, and rectifies his heart.

Verily, those who keep their tongues moist with the remembrance of Allah (make dhikr continuously) would enter Jannah whilst laughing!

Abu Hurairah (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“If anyone relieves a Muslim believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection.
If anyone makes it easy for the one who is indebted to him (while finding it difficult to repay), Allah will make it easy for him in this worldly life and in the Hereafter,
and if anyone conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and in the Hereafter.
Allah helps His slave as long as he helps his brother.”
