2 weeks ago, a whistle blower used the FB post of a local team to point out that they were using uncertified steers. We investigated and found truth in the allegations. That local team was suspended for 1 month.

Follow up on our audit on other teams found some teams also using uncertified steers. We are going to deal with them similarly.

Teams are reminded:-
1. Only certified steers permitted (min requirement is SDBA Probationary Letter)

2. If a certified Recreational Instructor/Trainer or Technical Level 1/2 Coach is present in the same boat, only then can an uncertified steer be permitted

3. Be careful what you post on social media platforms

NEA lifted lightning alert. Still have light rains. Teams are advised to conduct own risk assessment before deciding to proceed

Light rains expected until 1400hrs. However we still need to look out for lightning alerts.

NEA activated Cat 1 heavy thundery showers and lightning alert at 1232hrs. Forecasted to last until 2pm

LWS at KWSC and Nursery deactivated at 1414hrs
