I keep chasing a better version of myself, forgetting that I don’t have to be perfect to be enough.

Perfectionism isn't a war you fight with the world; it's more like a war between you and the standards you've created for yourself. Every time you reach something, your mind moves the destination a little further away, never allowing you to truly feel what it means to have arrived.
With perfectionism, instead of experiencing life, you constantly measure yourself: How well did I do? How much better could I have been? Where did I go wrong? What am I still missing? Slowly, life itself becomes a never ending project of fixing and improving yourself.
But a person is not something that will one day finally be finished. There will always be something to change, learn, or improve. The problem begins when improving yourself is no longer a choice, but becomes a condition for allowing yourself to feel at peace.
Perhaps the healthiest form of growth is being able to accept two things at the same time: that there is always room for you to become better, and that you don't need to prove anything to deserve to feel worthy right now.

Respecting someone doesn't mean that you like them or agree with them. It means that, despite your differences or even your dislike for them, you still value their dignity, boundaries, rights, and humanity, and don't let personal feelings determine how you treat them.

Something people often overlook is that respect should not depend on whether someone is watching. It is easy to be polite when we are trying to look like a good person, but real respect shows itself in the moments when we have nothing to gain from being decent. It means not humiliating someone when you know you could get away with it, not using their weaknesses against them simply because you know them, and not turning someone's mistakes or vulnerable moments into entertainment for others. The way we treat people when they have no power over us says far more about our character than the way we treat people we need.
And being treated badly does not automatically give us permission to become cruel ourselves. Someone else's disrespect can explain our anger, but it does not have to decide our behavior. We can defend ourselves without becoming abusive, disagree without degrading, and walk away without trying to destroy the person we are leaving behind. This is one of the harder forms of self control: refusing to let someone else’s lack of respect turn you into someone you would not want to be.

Ultimately, respect is not about deciding who deserves kindness and who does not. It is about understanding that another person's humanity does not disappear simply because you dislike them. You do not have to like someone to leave them their dignity. You do not have to agree with them to acknowledge their right to exist, speak, choose, and set their own boundaries. And you certainly do not have to hurt someone simply because you have the power or the opportunity to do so.
The most meaningful kind of respect is therefore not: I respect you because I like you.
Its: I may dislike you, disagree with you, or want nothing to do with you, but I will not use my feelings as an excuse to forget that you are a human being.

I have a dream, make it come true i dont need anyone, i started alone, people come.
Then they all leave, when we always end up alone, im strong enough to need only myself.
